Are you ready for another round of Disney World’s most surprising news this week?
This week Disney announced the return of character dining at THREE different restaurants and a popular ride continues to experience unexpected closures. Find out everything right here!
Character Dining Returning
While character dining has returned to many restaurants in Disney World, there are still a few more that have yet to bring back their character visitors. This week, however, Disney announced that Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe in Disney’s Beach Club is coming BACK! We haven’t seen this breakfast buffet experience since 2020.
In the past, you could visit with Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy dressed up for a day at the beach, and you’ll get another chance on October 4th, 2022. And trust us, you DON’T want to miss Cape May Cafe’s Salted Caramel “Beach Buns!“

And that’s not all! Beginning on September 20th, 2022 in Magic Kingdom, The Crystal Palace: A Buffet with Characters featuring Winnie the Pooh and Friends is coming back! This buffet restaurant will once again see friends from the Hundred Acre Wood greeting diners.Â
This character dining buffet will serve lunch and dinner with characters like Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore! Reservations will open 60 days before September 20th, so mark your calendar!

Are you ready for some Mickey and Stitch Waffles and some Lilikoi Juice? We sure are! Remember, reservations open 60 days before at around 5:45AM and these reservations are sure to go fast.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Issues
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closed again in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and we couldn’t help but notice that there has been a pattern of technical difficulties. On July 3rd. the ride shut down twice in one morning.
According to a Cast Member, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has not gotten a full refurbishment since Disney World reopened in 2020, and as a result, it continues to experience some issues. It’s possible that we could expect an upcoming refurbishment so stay tuned for more news!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is having a ROUGH year in Disney World!
Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
And this week we learned that the For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration will be temporarily closing soon in Hollywood Studios on August 22nd. We don’t know a reopening date yet, so we can only take guesses about how long this closure could last.
Refurbishments happen all the time in Disney World, and the length of closure time can vary considerably. We’ll be keeping an eye on this developing situation!
