When you think of classic Disney snacks, you probably think of things like Mickey Bars, Mickey Waffles, and churros. But we’re not going to lie, Disney World churros can be a big hit or miss. There are some churro winners out there (we’re looking at you Nomad Lounge). But oftentimes, we have felt like Disneyland beats out Disney World in the churro game since they tend to be fresher and more creative!
But, now Disney World has another chance to change our minds with their M&M’s Peanut Butter Churro that has arrived just in time for spooky season. Let’s see if they can do it!
We have seen Disney World do a few fun renditions of churros for special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. But they tend to be covered in a colorful sugar that ends up just tasting mega artificial. But that’s not quite the case with this churro.
The M&M’s Peanut Butter Churros are rolled in peanut dust and then drizzled with both peanut sauce and chocolate sauce. After that, it’s topped with M&M’s filled with peanut butter. So moral of the story here, is that this was really made for peanut lovers. It is made for them and (sort of) them only! It’s literally COVERED in things with peanut flavors.
But does this snack truly deliver in terms of both churro and peanut butter goodness? Well…yes, actually! The added chocolate and peanut butter sauce are a nice addition to that ordinary Disney World churro, really kicking them up a notch.
Overall we actually really enjoyed the flavor combination for these churros!
But, that doesn’t mean they’re perfect. While the peanut M&M’S make sense (they definitely stuck to the peanut theme here), they were just sort of plopped on top of the treat. To really eat them, you’d have to pick them up with your hands (or a spoon?) and they’re COVERED in sauce, making them sticky and not the easiest (or cleanest) to grab. We would have loved to have seen the peanut M&M’S incorporated a bit more or maybe even chopped up a bit to make them easier to eat while on the churro.
But, still, if you’re a lover of all things peanut flavored, and you adore sweet treats, this could be a great pick. If you don’t really subscribe to the whole “I love peanuts” thing, then consider just grabbing a regular churro or some of the fall snacks with other flavors like spiced cake or candy corn.
You can find it at these churros at a snack cart by Cinderella Castle during the day this Halloween season OR during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. So it will be accessible to most guests, which is exciting! They’ll cost you $7.25.
