Another Disney World restaurant is CHANGING!
Over the past few months, we’ve seen Disney World restaurants impacted by menu changes and price increases. We’ve also seen restaurants resume their traditional buffet service, bring character dining back, and make other changes. Soon, changes will be hitting another Disney dining spot!
Tusker House Restaurant has been open in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for quite some time. But, when this spot reopened post the COVID-19 pandemic closures, it resumed service with family-style dining, as opposed to its regular buffet service.
But soon that’ll all be changing!
According to the Disney World website, Tusker House will continue to offer family-style dining through October 31st. On November 1st, 2022, however, buffet service will RETURN to Tusker House!
The buffet menu has not yet been shared, but Disney has said to check back for details. We can’t wait to see what will be on the buffet menu and how the experience will feel once it has returned back to “normal.”
This restaurant joins a few others where buffet service has or will soon return. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Hollywood & Vine will be bringing back its buffet on August 28th. Buffets have also returned to Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, in a small way during breakfast at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and at other Disney World spots (like Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge).
But other places still haven’t brought back their buffet service. For example, Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is still serving up a family-style meal.
What do you think about the return of buffets to Disney World? Are you a fan or do you prefer family-style dining? Thousands of our DFB readers were SPLIT when we asked them back in 2021.

Normally this is one of our favorite places to eat breakfast and sometimes dinner in Animal Kingdom. But the last time we were there it was serving family style. Meet and greet was only at a distance, The service was terrible, the food had a foul Oder, and it was not chicken. The shrimp smelled so bad no one at or table would eat it. My grandson asked for a refill on his soda and the waiter told him there were no refills. I asked since when did Disney stop refills of soft drinks. I was told they do not refill drinks at Tusker House. The worst dining experience I ever had at a Disney Restaurant

We went to Tusker house for the first time in June. Our lunch was great! The kids loved the bread and Mac and Cheese. My husband loved all the meat. He does Keto and this was the perfect restaurant for that. But the absolute best part of this restaurant was the characters!! They went above and beyond playing their part. Goofy was our favorite🤣 We will definitely be going back to Tusker House!
