There’s so much to see and do — but NEW experiences are right around the corner, too. Multiple construction projects are in the works, and we’ve been keeping up with them all. Let’s take a look at the biggest construction updates you might have missed this week!
Magic Kingdom
TRON: Lightcycle / Run
Now that we have an opening date for TRON, we’ve started to see more finishing touches taking place around the attraction.
It’s a crane!
Some large equipment has been moved in, and we’ve spotted more and more crews on the ground working in this area lately.

It looks like it’s go-time for this attraction — almost! TRON is opening on April 4th, 2023.

EPCOT
CommuniCore Hall & Plaza
WHOA — CommuniCore Hall is looking pretty massive from this angle. This new building will be the home of all things festivals in EPCOT.
Things are going up!
Most of the structural support appears to be built, and crews were working on the roof (or top of the structure anyway!) when we passed by on the monorail.
Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana
There must have been a sale on large equipment rentals, as some sort of big machinery has been moved into the Moana attraction area.
Construction everywhere
From what we can see, it looks like work is being done on the pathways inside the Moana attraction — but we’ll keep an eye on this spot for any more changes!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Some exciting drawings have popped up on the outside of Roundup Rodeo BBQ!

Over at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, there are quite a few renovations taking place! A new coffee shop just opened in the lobby, and the Cake Bake Shop is taking the place of the former ESPN Club. Right now, it looks like the Cake Bake Shop’s roof is being renovated. This new table service spot will be opening sometime in 2023!

Espn was not working as well as it once did at Boardwalk, a better use of the location is the right thing to do.
No one really cares about Woody’s Lunch Box or BBQ something. Just another overpriced restaurant on Disney property
CommuniCore Hall & Plaza, don’t know much about this one other than Moana, Moana, Moana. another who cares attraction. Loosing the old communicore and the learning exhibits is a tradegdy. I just don’t know about the new set up…not impressed from what I can see.
