Free snacks. Rare characters. Walk-on rides. Sounds like a dream, right?
Well, your dream can come true thanks to Disney World After Hours events! These exclusive, separately ticketed events are a great way to experience all that and more — and Disney just added even MORE event dates throughout this year. Let’s check it all out!
Disney After Hours events are held in the EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom parks. Each of these special ticketed events allows you 3 extra hours to extend your park day (or just get a later start to the park) to take advantage of the rides and attractions throughout the park. And, Disney World just added MORE dates to the After Hours lineup for this year!
Here’s a look at the new dates for After Hours events in each park:
- Magic Kingdom: January 11th to June 27th, 2024 (previously April 8th)
- EPCOT: February 2nd to July 18th, 2024 (previously April 4th)
- Hollywood Studios: January 10th to August 29th, 2024 (previously April 10th)
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, prices range from $155 to $175, at Magic Kingdom, prices range from $155- $175, and at EPCOT, prices range from $149-$159.
Since there’s a limited number of tickets sold for these events, if you’re attending you can expect lower crowds and lower wait times than the regular park day. In addition to the lower wait times, attending one of these events will include snacks with your admission like popcorn, ice cream, and bottled drinks.
Plus, some of the BEST parts about these events are the low crowds — and even lower wait times! We recently attended After Hours events in Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom, and you can check out our experiences by clicking here and here. Although it is an added cost, it’s hard to beat walking around a nearly empty Disney World theme park.

Do you think they will add dates into September for DHS and Epcot

If someone is going to an After Hours Event, do you recommend going to that same park earlier that day, as well? Are the crowd sizes considerably smaller on those days given that the park closes early for the regular day? Or would you recommend doing a different park, such as DAK since it closes early anyway?
Would love to hear your insight on this, as we are going to WDW soon and are in the planning stages.

Looking on the wdw site now and do not see dates past early April.

When are these tickets eligible to purchase? I don’t see them on the Disney site.

I remember they used to do e-ticket night for $10 back in 1999 and they limited it to 2000 tickets. I feel like now, they over do it with the after hours events – especially the parties at MK. While the events are fun, I’m not a fan of closing the parks early to accommodate them.

Are they not available for the other dates yet? I didn’t see any on the calendar past April.

Hi Don! We definitely recommend going to a park with After Hours events if you’re not staying for the event because the crowds are generally smaller, but let’s say you plan to go to Magic Kingdom for an After Hours event and really want to ride TRON. If you get into the queue for TRON at 6pm, you may still end up wasting 30-45 minutes of the After Hours event standing in line to get on the ride so in that case it would be better to have been there earlier in the day to queue up for that one so you aren’t wasting precious party time standing in line. Now that all-day park hopping is back, however, you can always start at one park and hop over as soon as you feel like it.
