When you go to Disney World every day, you learn a few secrets about the theme parks.
First, you learn which rides to avoid at rope drop (seriously, you’d think it might catch on that certain rides are ALWAYS the ones that EVERYONE runs to at rope drop). We also know where the best — and worst — seats are on rides. We’ve also ranked EVERY single ride in Disney World. Then there are the rides that we love the most — and although we may not rank them high for thrills, they’re the comfort rides we ALWAYS get in line for.
So we asked our team to weigh in on the rides we find the MOST comfort on, and honestly, this was almost unanimous. If you need to get away from the chaos — and the heat — in Disney World, these rides will NEVER let you down.
Living With The Land
Okay, if you’ve been reading DFB for a while, you know we will always say that Living With The Land in EPCOT is one of the MOST UNDERRATED rides in all of Disney World. Maybe a relaxed boat ride through the history and future of agriculture isn’t something you’d necessarily think you’d be interested in, once you’ve been on it, YOU KNOW.
First, it’s a relaxing boat ride. Second, it’s indoors — in the air conditioning. Third, there are hardly ever long lines for it (except for maybe around the holidays when it gets its festive overlay). You can just hop on a boat for a nice 15-minute ride and surround yourself with nature. It doesn’t get more comforting than that!

PeopleMover
Yep, we love the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom, which is designed to…well…it’s designed to move people. Is it exciting? Probably not. Is it futuristic or high-tech? Well, not really. Is it a good way to get off your feet and get some exclusive views INSIDE some Tomorrowland attractions? YES!
This 10-minute ride takes you throughout Tomorrowland and through Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and the Star Traders shop. It’s a fun way to see some behind-the-scenes things you can’t see otherwise.

Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean in Magic Kingdom has it ALL. It’s a relaxing boat ride, but it also has all the thrills and DANGER that you get when hanging out with pirates! You want pirate shenanigans? You’ve got it! You want an all-out battle between pirate ships? Yep, you get that, too! You want to see Captain Jack Sparrow hiding from EVERYONE? BINGO — this ride is just for you! Oh, plus the pirates are SINGING even while their village is going up in flames!
There’s a reason this classic Disney attraction has been popular FOREVER. It never gets old. The boat ride is NICE when you’ve been on your feet all day. But you’re also still completely entertained by all the new details you’ll notice each time you ride it. Yo ho, Yo ho, a pirate’s life for me!

Na’vi River Journey
Okay, before you roll your eyes at us, Na’vi River Journey in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is still a VERY popular ride in Disney World. It generally has high wait times, but if you can grab a Lightning Lane on Genie+, you should do it EVERY SINGLE TIME. First, this ride is another underrated one. It’s an air-conditioned slow boat journey through Pandora at night and it is SO chill and comforting that you’ll be thanking us.
You’ll also find one of Disney’s MOST stunning animatronics in the form of the Shaman towards the end of the ride. It’s easy to forget that she’s not a REAL Na’vi because her movements and song are SO fluid and real.

Spaceship Earth
Okay, we know this ride is one that a LOT of our readers will agree with as a TOP comfort ride. Spaceship Earth at EPCOT isn’t just a classic Disney ride, but it’s also a nice slow-moving ride IN THE DARK while the dulcet tones of Dame Judy Dench tell you all about the history of communication on Earth.
Yes, we know a LOT of folks nap on this ride, but even if you stay awake, you’ll leave it feeling refreshed, cooler (again, it’s indoors and air-conditioned), and a lot more educated on how communication has evolved throughout history. It’s a win-win, people!
