Bad news, Disney fans. Getting around Disneyland Resort might look a little different soon. Why? There are several big closures and refurbishments happening soon, and they may impact your trip.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disneyland
If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Resort this July, you might want to be aware of these upcoming closures. There’s nothing worse than being caught off guard during your vacation! Now, let’s dive in and see what’s changing.
First, a handy pathway that connects two parts of Disneyland will be closed soon. In fact, Disney shared that the bridge connecting New Orleans Square with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will close starting July 8th, 2024. This is only a temporary closure, and you can still access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge via the Frontierland entrance.

Starting July 8th, you’ll have one less spot to dine! Hungry Bear Restaurant will temporarily close for “kitchen refurbishments,” so you won’t be able to get any chicken tenders or burgers from this spot. That said, you can get similar food at nearby spots like Stage Door Café and Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante.

While the restaurant is closed, the Hungry Bear restrooms will also be unavailable. Luckily, there are plenty of nearby restrooms, but the closest option is located in Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Paddles down, people! Davey Crockett’s Explorer Canoes will also close starting July 8th, 2024. The closure is due to adjacent construction.

Finally, we have one more closure to point out. If you were hoping to grab a healthy snack from the Critter Country Fruit Cart, you’ll be out of luck starting July 8th. This cart is closing due to its location in Critter Country. Luckily, Disneyland has plenty of other fruit carts around the park, so all hope is not lost!

Critter Country
Wow, it looks like July 8th will be a busy day in terms of closures and construction at Disneyland! Oh, and don’t forget — starting in August, two other attractions will close at Disneyland Park, including the Disneyland Railroad and Space Mountain. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
