Okay, we’re not sure what Disney was doing this year when it planned its schedule, but we’ve been running ourselves ragged trying to keep up with everything. We do it for YOU, dear Disney friends!

The Beak and Barrel

So we’ve already been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World and Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland, but Disney’s busy season is JUST getting started. That’s because a lot of things are about to kick off…ALL ON THE SAME WEEKEND, which just also happens to be Labor Day Weekend. What were you thinking, Disney? Anyway, this is why August 29th is a big day for all of us!

So what’s so special about August 29th? Well, we’ll tell you.

The First EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Weekend

The first day of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival starts on August 28th, but the 29th is when the weekend really kicks off; it’s a holiday weekend plus the first weekend for the festival. That means we’re going to see some pretty big crowds in Disney World because many have a three-day weekend, PLUS they’ll want to check out the festival.

Of course, we’ll be at the festival on the first day and throughout the weekend, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for our festival news and reviews.

Destination D23

The biggest Disney fan event of the year, Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney kicks off on August 29th at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort! Yep, as if the festival and Labor Day weekend weren’t enough to bring TONS of people ot Disney World. The event is also one of those times that Disney makes some pretty big announcements, and we can’t wait!

But, wait, because there’s MORE happening in Disney World on August 29th. Magic Kingdom’s brand-new Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired lounge, The Beak and Barrel, is opening on August 29th. Let’s just say that Disney World wanted to make sure you had PLENTY of things to do over Labor Day weekend.
