Hollywood Studios has changed a lot recently. Between Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run with The Mandalorian and Grogu, and an entire new land with The Walt Disney Studios, there are so many new and exciting things to do!

But a popular Disney World bar and lounge is also changing! The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is currently under construction, and the outdoor patio now looks completely different!

The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge gives guests the chance to enjoy the fine food featured at the signature restaurant, including the Famous Cobb Salad, along with cocktails or any selections from the full bar — all without an Advanced Dining Reservation. You can just walk up to dine like the stars in this refined outdoor setting.

But the lounge looks totally different right now, because the outdoor patio is under construction. Disney hasn’t announced what’s happening with the space, but the lounge has moved temporarily to the courtyard on the side of the building. We checked it out recently, and there’s a separate line for the walk-up bar next to the side entrance to the Brown Derby.

To stop and eat, you can head to this temporary check-in stand beside the bar. Behind the stand is lots of outdoor seating in the shade, like the previous lounge, but there are also fewer tables. We’d recommend making a reservation on crowded days, because you might not be able to walk in as easily.

When we went to see the former Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge under construction, large shrubs were covering the patio. We could see that the red awnings along the building have been taken down.
