The return of an old favorite has led to a new rope drop rule at EPCOT.

In July of 2025, EPCOT’s Test Track reopened after a refurbishment that lasted over a year. The new version of the attraction, dubbed Test Track 3.0 by fans – a nod to the original late 1990s original and the 2010s refurbished version of the attraction that preceded it – the “new” Test Track has six new “scenes” celebrating vehicles and their makers.
This hidden gem of World Showcase has plenty to offer.
Morocco Pavilion
The Morocco Pavilion is one of EPCOT’s most unique World Showcase countries. Originally opened in 1984, the country was the first (and to date, only one of two) nations added to the park following its 1982 opening. Morocco was also unique in that, at the time of its opening, it was the only World Showcase Pavilion that was sponsored by the government of the country represented, as opposed to a corporation native to the country. As part of this unique arrangement, Morocco’s ruler at the time, King Hassan II, sent Moroccan artisans to design and create the many mosaics and architectural flourishes that make up the pavilion, giving the land an authenticity rarely seen in a theme park. Disney took over control of the pavilion from the Moroccan government in 2020.

However, over my years of visiting the Magic Kingdom, I’ve realized there are some rides in the park that have definitely outstayed their welcome, especially in their current state. Now, I’ll state that I’m sure there are those who love these rides, and in a vacuum, they do have some redeeming qualities, but not enough to tip the scales.
A word of warning, if you’re heading to Walt Disney World this fall, there are some days you may just want to avoid the “Most Magical Place on Earth.”

Many Americans are toning down their discretionary spending and turning up their “revenge saving”, which may cause problems for Disney World.
The site of an empty Magic Kingdom may become a bit more common.
The concept of “revenge saving” is the idea of putting more money aside for savings than they were previously. According to CNBC, the “The U.S. personal saving rate — the percentage of disposable income that U.S. households save, after they pay taxes and spend money — has risen sharply this year, reaching 4.5% in May, according to Bureau of Economic Analysis data released Friday. That is slightly down from 4.9% in April, but up significantly from 3.5% in December.”
Take note, Disney Princess fans, August is about to be a big month!

The month begins with the launch of a Princess-themed edition of the perennial television hit Project Runway, before culminating in World Princess Week, which takes place from August 24th through the 31st. In addition, Disney is “celebrating the second year of the Disney Princess ‘Create Your World’ campaign through beloved characters and imaginative play, continuing to spark magic, creativity, and connection across generations.”
While drinking around the world remains an integral part of the EPCOT experience, many guests are approaching things in a more responsible way. Keep that in mind for your next visit.

According to Time Magazine, “a 2023 survey from Gallup found that the share of adults under age 35 who say they ever drink dropped ten percentage points in two decades, to 62% in 2021-2023 from 72% in 2001-2003” meaning that as members of Gen Z come of age, they’re drinking less than their predecessors. Experts have attributed this to various factors, including changing laws, altered patterns of socialization, and a better awareness of the potential adverse health effects of alcohol.
