On June 29th, a child fell overboard on the Disney Dream cruise ship, causing her father to jump in after her.

The incident occurred as the ship was returning to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from a four-night Bahamian sailing, according to The Street.

Disney Cruise Line’s newest cruise ship will officially set sail on its maiden voyage on November 20th, and we’ve already learned quite a bit about the new ship. The theme will be heroes and villains, which, of course, means you can expect to see some of Disney’s most iconic villains onboard. However, one of those villains, Cruella de Vil, is getting her very own piano lounge on the ship — and Disney just shared more details about that lounge.

The U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 2 travel advisory for the Dominican Republic.

A Level 2 travel advisory warns to “Exercise Increased Caution” when traveling to destinations with this designation. In this case, the travel advisory has been issued due to crime.

If you’ve been wanting to take a Disney Cruise, now is a great time to book that trip, especially with Disney’s new ships like the Disney Treasure and the upcoming Disney Adventure and Disney Destiny.

However, booking a Disney Cruise isn’t exactly cheap, especially considering that you have to put 20% of the cost of your cruise down up front when you book it. However, Disney just made it easier and more affordable to book a cruise because you now only have to put 10% of the total cost of the cruise down as a deposit.
One of Disney Cruise Line‘s new ships is the Disney Adventure, which will set sail from Singapore in December 2025. As you can see, it’s still a work in progress.

While the ship still has a lot of construction left to go before it’s ready to sail and begin welcoming passengers, Disney has already started casting for the live entertainment on board. We know about some of the shows that will happen onboard, and now we know that at least ONE of them will include a new type of entertainment!
