Disney recently dropped a new map on their DisneylandForward website that goes over some of the potential changes to their $1.9 billion investment plan to continue growing and expanding Disneyland, and we wanted to take a closer look at the map to point out some of those updates you might have missed!

We are OBSESSED with McDonald’s Happy Meals. Okay, actually, what we’re really obsessed with are Happy Meal toys. That’s probably because Disney often collaborates with McDonald’s on exclusive Happy Meal toys. Yes, we had a BLAST when we were trying to collect all those 100th Anniversary figures (and we’re still missing some).

Disney also often works with McDonald’s to create Happy Meal toys inspired by upcoming movie releases. However, McDonald’s released some new Happy Meal toys for a Disney movie…that isn’t expected to hit theaters until next year? Say what?!

The company is also in the middle of a proxy battle with an activist investor, Nelson Peltz, who is petitioning to get a seat on The Walt Disney Company’s Board of Directors. Trian Partners recently nominated Peltz to be elected to the Board, but the current board does not endorse him. Well, it seems that some people very close to Walt Disney himself also do not support Peltz and his efforts.

But we also recently told you about a theme park being built right in the middle of the U.S. called American Heartland which is being built by former Disney Imagineers. But the more we think about this new theme park, the more we’re noticing that it’s sounding a lot like, well…a Disney Park.
