Magic Kingdom is about to get bigger
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closed for refurbishment until 2026, the Disney Villains are currently plotting their takeover, and Tom Sawyer Island just recently closed forever. We’ve been keeping a close eye on the construction at Tom Sawyer Island, and now it looks like another abandoned attraction — the Liberty Square Riverboat — is back on the move!

There are some major updates around Disney World from the new Monster’s Inc. Land that’s in the works, the new Zootopia show coming soon, and DinoLand’s closure, there is so much going on! In Magic Kingdom, we found even more updates but these were a bit unexpected.
There have been some changes happening around Disney’s Magic Kingdom today in preparation for the 50th Anniversary Celebrations!

All around the park, we’re hunting down the new golden Disney character statues, which appeared today. But that wasn’t the only change we saw in the Magic Kingdom — some construction walls around a big project on Main Street have finally come down!
