What’s even sweeter than a sugar cube? A Mickey-shaped sugar cube!
That’s right — at Flying Fish and several other table service restaurants this week — we spotted Mickey Mouse-shaped sugar cubes.
Over at Epcot, Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion has definitely not been slacking when it comes to their holiday cupcake game. Last week, we reviewed the Snowman Peanut Butter & Jelly Cupcake and we also spotted the Christmas Gift Cupcake as well! Now, we have another exciting sweet treat to tell you about!
It’s a Holiday Minnie Cupcake! Just like the Flower Pot PB&J Cupcake got an update for Santa season, this little cutie did, too!
It’s the holiday season, so what better time to stuff yourself with all of the fun sweets and treats available at Walt Disney World?
From Festival of the Holidays in Epcot and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom to Flurry of Fun in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are plenty of holiday treats and eats to enjoy. But there are also some very unique treats in Disney World’s resort hotels that you shouldn’t miss!
We paid a visit to Disney’s All-Star Music Resort today, and we have some unique, one of a kind treats to share with you (plus one old favorite!).
There’s been no shortage of adorable cupcakes popping up at Walt Disney World this holiday season, like this whimsical Rainbow Unicorn Cupcake or this incredibly detailed Snowman Cupcake. We’ve got another new cupcake review for you today: the Mickey Christmas Tree Cupcake!
So where can you find this super-cute sweet treat, and how does it taste?
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation in 2019 and will be using the Disney Dining Plan, you’re likely already thinking about where you’ll eat and how you’ll maximize those credits.
Lucky for you, we have tons of resources to help you with all of that! Whether you’re trying to make the most of quick service credits or trying to maximize your table service credits, there’s a DFB post for you. 😉
Just like Hollywood Studios, there are lots of exciting things coming to Epcot in the near future! Between two new attractions, the Skyliner, Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, and two new table service restaurants, we have more than a few updates for you this week.
Want to know more about what we found in Future World and around the World (Showcase)? Let’s go!
Happy Weekend! We’re back with another DFB Video today, and we’re asking (and answering) some questions: “Are These Disney Upgrades Worth it?”
There’s no shortage of ways to upgrade your Disney World vacation. For instance, should you buy park tickets that allow you to visit one park for one day, or should you spring for Park Hoppers to visit more parks? Will your family be satisfied with the Quick Service or Standard Disney Dining Plan, or would the Deluxe Dining Plan be a better choice? These are just two of several of the topics we are covering when we ask, “Is this Disney World upgrade worth it?” Find out our thoughts in our latest DFB YouTube video! [Read more…]

If Walt Disney World dining establishments competed for superlatives, California Grill atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort would vie for several titles.
Best Dinner View? Best Sushi? Most Likely to Knock Your Socks Off? Yup — it would make a strong case for all.
And, in truth, we’ve included Cali Grill in lots of our lists, including 56 Must-Read Disney Dining Tips, where we tout that view, and 36 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do at Walt Disney World, where we highlight the extraordinary sushi.
One of the more exciting (and for some disappointing) aspects of dining at California Grill is its ever-changing menu. The intent is to adapt to local availability of ingredients — seasonality, in other words. And what that means for this signature restaurant is that the dishes you have one night may very well be absent from the menu the next.
But it also means the dishes on the menu are always high-quality and seriously fresh. And that’s why we keep going back — because there’s always something new (and thankfully always a couple of old favorites, though they might look a little different).

Disney food friends, this is an urgent message — an urgent PIZZA message for those visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom between now and September 5! You must make your way to Pinocchio Village Haus for a truly awesome flatbread that a cast member tells me will only be available until next week!
The Bacon Macaroni and Cheese Flatbread is the flatbread of the month at Pinnochio Village Haus. It starts with a crispy flatbread crust and is topped with sour cream, macaroni and cheese, three cheese blend, chives, and crumbled bacon bits!
This is a seriously delicious — and seriously filling — flatbread that combines some of my favorite things! The sour cream is an inspired choice of “sauce” that gives the whole thing a tangy, addictive quality (as if the three cheese blend and bacon weren’t irresistible enough!). But even if you’re not a huge Sour Cream fan, the whole thing blends together so well that it won’t stand out to you.
The macaroni and cheese is made with soft elbow noodles that contrast with the crispy crust (baked to golden brown!) and the chewy bacon bits.
The whole thing is basically a savory delight, complete with the bright green chives which provide a welcome, fresh respite from the intensely (ahhh-mazingly) salty, cheesy flatbread.
This one is SO. GOOD.! I’m bummed that this seasonal flatbread will be gone on September 5 because it’s something I would totally get again and again if it was a permanent part of the menu. Here’s hoping it’s popular enough to become a recurring special addition!
