AHOY THERE MATEYS! Are you ready to set sail on the Seven Seas Lagoon on the hunt for treasure?! (Er, fireworks.)
Jambo! Recently, we were at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and had a hankering for a nice and unique lunch. Having not been to Tiffins in a while, it seemed like the perfect choice.
Tiffins is the only signature restaurant in the park and features African and Indian inspired dishes. In the past, we have really enjoyed our meals here, but they have updated the menu since our previous reviewed visit and we were excited to check out both some old favorites and new choices.
We reported back in March that Keystone Clothiers on Hollywood Boulevard was closed for refurbishment, and we haven’t seen a peep out of there… UNTIL NOW.
Keystone Clothiers opened bright and early this morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — just in time to celebrate the Grand Opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
Things are always changing around the Disney Parks! After all, Walt Disney himself said that Disneyland would never be finished and that they must “Keep Moving Forward.”
And change is certainly the name of the game in 2019! All kinds of things are happening in Disney World and Disneyland that have NEVER. HAPPENED. BEFORE. — from new entertainment, new technology, and new food!
Here are 14 Things Disney’s Doing for the First Time in 2019:
Most people know that going to Walt Disney World is a BLAST! But most people also know that going to Walt Disney World is EXPENSIVE.
Between resort stays, park tickets, dining, and souvenirs — things can add up quick! Not that this stops us from going, of course. But it does keep us on our toes when it comes to finding discounts! Little savings here and there can also add up quick.
Here are 5 of our favorite Disney World Discount Secrets:
For better or for worse, Disney World isn’t the kind of vacation where you can just show up. In order to really make the most of your trip, you need to do some advanced planning.
BUT what are the planning tips no one thinks about? The ones that give you that uneasy “what did I forget feeling” on your way to the airport? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are 6 Disney Planning Tips that everyone forgets:
Calling all Tables in Wonderland Cardholders! Have we got a hack for you!!
Did you know you can use your Tables in Wonderland Card to save on MORE than just Table Service meals??
Hello from the beautiful and colorful Art of Animation Resort! It’s been a minute since we dined here on something that wasn’t sweet… (Not that we’re complaining. I mean…have you seen THIS COOKIE!?)
…so we decided to swing by Landscape of Flavors to see if one of our old favorites still stood up to our taste test! It’s time to go “Unda da Sea” — and no, we aren’t talking about visiting The Little Mermaid section of the resort.
Jambo from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Tusker House Restaurant
Time to visit one of our favorite character dining locations: Tusker House! Tusker House is located in Animal Kingdom’s African village of Harambe and offers a character buffet for breakfast and lunch and a “family style dinner buffet” (really just a buffet — no family style service), also with characters!
One added element of dining at Tusker House is the opportunity to reserve the Rivers of Light Dining Package here, which saves a seat at Animal Kingdom’s newly-revamped Rivers of Life: We Are One nighttime spectacular. Generally, the price differential between the character meal and the dining package is pretty small here, so you may find it’s worth the slight splurge to score that reserved seating.
We weren’t after the Dining Package this time, but we sure were excited to see if the food and experience at Tusker House lived up to its past quality. And we ended up eating TWO full meals at once, which we really didn’t expect! (Read on to find out how we did it!)
We’ve got a lot of food to share with you, so let’s get going!
Tusker House is a charming restaurant located on your left-hand side in Harambe as you head toward Kilimanjaro Safaris. Check in is at a stand near the Dawa Bar, and you’ll be given a pager. Here you’re welcome to glance at the menu — but keep in mind it’s pretty generic because it’s a buffet! (Don’t worry: we’ll get more specific, and we have photos of EVERYTHING below!)
Heyyyy from Port Orleans: French Quarter and Riverside! We stopped by recently to check out the menus, and have a few updates for you!
Let’s jump in, shall we?
