In late 2019, Disney is opening an all-new Disney Vacation Club Resort — Disney’s Riviera Resort!

With the resort’s December 16th opening date approaching, we have started to notice a few pieces of Riviera Resort merchandise popping up around Walt Disney World.

And Disney has opened up general sales for the resort to those who become Disney Vacation Club members!
Disney offers an assortment of discounts including Annual Passholder, Military, and Florida Resident discounts. These discounts are often for rooms, tickets, and food — all of which are crazy expensive when visiting Walt Disney World. And who doesn’t love saving money right?

Disney Vacation Club Members may now make reservations for an exclusive one-night-only event on April 10, 2019. The Star Wars: Galactic Gathering will take place from 6:00 – 8:30 PM at the World ShowPlace pavilion at Epcot! [Editor’s Update: Please note that Disney has announced that this event has been cancelled since original publishing.]

The Membership Magic event will feature Star Wars-themed foods and beverages, Star Wars characters, and photo ops with Star Wars set pieces and props, music from a DJ, and more. [Read more…]
The 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts kicked off on Friday celebrating the Culinary, Visual, and Performing Arts. The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is terrific part of the celebration, featuring performances by some of Broadway’s most accomplished actors and actresses singing some of Disney’s most beloved songs at the America Gardens Theater.

The performances take place nightly with three shows throughout the evening (5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:00 PM) at the American Gardens Theatre. And Disney Vacation Club members will want to keep in mind that the are eligible for a 10% discount off of Disney on Broadway Dining Packages which pair a meal at a participating Epcot restaurant with guaranteed seating at one of the evening’s concerts. The design for this Disney Vacation Club Resort is “inspired by the European grandeur Walt Disney experienced in his travels along the Mediterranean coastline.” And it has been announced that reservations will open for the general public this month. Disney Vacation Club Members will want to note that Members will be able to begin booking with Vacation Points sometime this spring. [Read more…]
