Remember when Disney Springs was just a casual shopping area where we could wander aimlessly, maybe grab some food at Earl of Sandwich, and call it a day? Those simpler times are long gone. Today’s Disney Springs has evolved into a destination that might require almost as much strategic planning as a park day — and many people don’t realize this until they’re already caught in the chaos.

One of our favorite places to grab a sweet treat is Gideon’s Bakehouse, located in the Landing. Gideon’s serves up loaded nearly half-pound cookies, cake slices, and specialty coffees. This flagship location can draw quite the line (and for good reason!) It’s February — and you know what that means. Well, it means we’re getting a lot of new snacks in Disney World as part of Celebrate Soulfully, Disney’s Black History Month celebration. But we’re also getting a lot of Valentine’s Day snacks.

Five years ago, Gideon’s Bakehouse moved into Disney Springs — and our lives have never been the same. We’ve had the opportunity to eat a lot of amazing cookies and cake slices, as well as indulge in that yummy Peanut Butter Cold Brew in those five years. Now, Gideon’s is celebrating its Disney Springs anniversary by offering a FREE gift plus a special NEW cookie.
Yes, we’re obsessed with Disney snacks — we track them like it’s our JOB (because actually, it is!).

We’re constantly on the lookout for new treats at the parks and resorts, and we try literally HUNDREDS of eats each year in search for the ultimate snacks to recommend to our followers. Over the past several years, we’ve had some snack spots stand out above the others, and among them is Gideon’s Bakehouse. So you know, when Gideon’s is about to drop something special…we’ve got to tell you about it!
Y’all…we spent a lot of time waiting in line today…not for a ride in Disney World. Instead, we headed to Orlando’s East End Market and waited in line…for a food truck.
New food truck alert!
But hear us out. This isn’t just any old food truck. This food truck is owned by Gideon’s Bakehouse and it was a one day deal ONLY with special citrus treats you’re not going to find ANYWHERE else. Today was a test for the food truck at Gideon’s East End Market location, and if the line for the food truck was any indication, we’d say that test was passed with flying colors. So let’s talk about some eats!

Okay, well, we’re a sucker for anything related to food, but there’s something fun about food trucks. Now, you may not know, but Disney Springs has several food trucks that pretty much stay parked in the area year-round. But a special NEW food truck has arrived in Orlando, and we’re excited because it’s affiliated with one of our favorite cookie spots, Gideon’s Bakehouse.
