Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
It might seem like a hassle to leave your Disney World park day behind to track down a restaurant at a hotel you’re not even staying at, but trust us, it can be SO worth it! Some of the absolute BEST dining spots in Disney World are actually hiding out at the resorts. With just a little extra time, you could be heading to one seriously delicious meal. So, we’re sharing our TOP Disney World hotel restaurants that are 100% worth the trip!
A major shift is coming to Disney Springs, and it’s being led by one of Orlando’s most beloved local restaurants.

Disney Springs!
Gideon’s Bakehouse, famous for its half-pound cookies and gothic aesthetic, is opening an entirely new restaurant concept in Disney Springs, just a few doors down from its original Bakehouse location. Set to open mid-year, it is named Six Ravens. Instead of sweets, it will feature an all-new savory-focused menu, marking the first time Gideon’s has expanded beyond its signature bakehouse concept and signaling a larger trend reshaping Orlando’s restaurant scene.
After decades of eating my way around Disney World, one thing is clear: many Disney adults keep booking restaurants for the wrong reasons.

Want to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table? Make a reservation as early as you can.
Disney World is home to some truly fantastic restaurants, from immersive themed dining to fantastic meals you won’t find anywhere else. But with hundreds of options across the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs, it’s easy to assume that popular, iconic, or highly recommended automatically means “right for everyone.” The truth is, many Disney dining disappointments don’t come from bad restaurants. Instead, they come from choosing places that don’t match your priorities, tastes, or touring style. Understanding why we book certain restaurants can make all the difference between a meal you endure and one you truly enjoy.
Disney World has no shortage of iconic restaurants; however, they are not all equal in the eyes of Disney fans.

Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom
From castle dining with princesses to meals inside space stations, it’s easy to assume that every Disney dining experience is great. But sometimes, in the land of $35 burgers and months-long dining waits, the most surprising meal can come from a place you thought you’d never step foot in. So here we are, and I’m about to recommend a Disney World restaurant that’s often shrugged off, joked about, or skipped entirely: Rainforest Café. Yes, that Rainforest Café.
Disney World has plenty of restaurants to choose from while you’re on vacation. From quick service to full table service meals, you’ll have a wide range of options.

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
However, as we say, one thing is certain about Disney World: it will change. We have seen restaurants close and change a lot over the years. Recently, two restaurants at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been set to close — Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano and PizzeRizzo. That had us wondering if Disney fans are tired of seeing restaurants close, so we asked our readers, “What have you HAD IT with as far as restaurant closures in Disney World go?”
If you are planning your Advanced Dining Reservations for your upcoming Disney World vacation, you might be looking to book one of the most popular character dining locations, but you are going to want to read this first!

Chef Mickey’s!
Chef Mickey’s is a very popular character meal at Disney World and for good reason — you can meet several of the original Disney characters here, including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. But before you book that reservation, let us introduce you to a good alternative that some (some meaning us) say is better!
We’ve dined in some strange and unique places in Disney World!

Hollywood Studios
We’ve eaten inside of cars, next to aquariums, and even in space. Disney knows how to do themed dining, and so when we got the chance to go to a restaurant that feels like dining in mom’s kitchen, we were like “Sign us UP!” The only catch? They might yell at us!
If you want to eat at a sit-down restaurant in Disney World, you pretty much HAVE to make advanced dining reservations. But here’s the problem: sometimes those dining reservations are TRICKY to get!
