The powerful Typhoon Chanthu prompted a Disney park to close in anticipation of heavy rain and wind.
Shanghai Disneyland reopened to guests on May 11th. In order to limit guest capacity as part of the new health and safety measures, guests have been required to purchase dated admission tickets ahead of their visit to enter the park while Annual Passholders have been required to make a reservation.
To this point, previously purchased General Admission tickets have not been accepted. However, an update to the Disneyland Shanghai website advises guests that — starting today, June 1st, guests with General Admission tickets will be able to make a reservation to visit the park for the dates of June 3rd through June 7th. Shanghai Disneyland reopened after its lengthy closure just this past Monday. However, all other Disney Parks around the world — including, of course, Walt Disney World and Disneyland — remain closed until further notice in light of the current global health situation.
That said, Disney has shared some of the health and safety measures being considered for the eventual reopening of all the parks. One measure is limiting guest capacity in order to promote physical distancing. This has already been implemented with the reopening of Shanghai Disneyland, which — during this initial phase — is requiring the advance purchase of theme park tickets assigned to a date, as well as required reservations for Annual Passholders.

Shanghai Disneyland will reopen on May 11th, and tickets are now on sale for reopening day through Tuesday, June 9th.
The reopening of Shanghai Disneyland will, of course, usher in new safety measures for both guests and cast members in light of the global health situation.
