Shanghai Disneyland reopened to guests on May 11th. In order to limit guest capacity as part of the new health and safety measures, guests have been required to purchase dated admission tickets ahead of their visit to enter the park while Annual Passholders have been required to make a reservation.
To this point, previously purchased General Admission tickets have not been accepted. However, an update to the Disneyland Shanghai website advises guests that — starting today, June 1st, guests with General Admission tickets will be able to make a reservation to visit the park for the dates of June 3rd through June 7th. Shanghai Disneyland is now officially reopened! The Resort’s lengthy closure began on January 25th in light of the global health situation. However, May 11th delivered the start of a phased reopening of Shanghai Disneyland to guests.

Just yesterday, Disney announced that Shanghai Disneyland will reopen on May 11th! This is indeed BIG news, as Shanghai Disneyland closed in January to promote safety in light of the current global health situation. Shanghai Disney Resort in China was the first Disney property to be affected by the global health crisis. The resort was closed in late January.
Being the first property affected also means that Shanghai is the furthest along in the course of the crisis and could have a chance to open a little sooner than the rest of the world. Recently, Shanghai Disney Resort started a phased reopening with its resorts and some retail. Now, it looks like the parks are doing some simulations to test out their new health and safety measures.
