Disney+ has released a new sing-along for the service’s Halloween campaign #Hallowstream.
The ongoing streaming wars between several of the industry’s biggest names have prompted new content, price increases, and a shift from ad-free streaming to ad-supported tiers.

We’ve already seen that Disney+ is going to get a new ad-supported tier this coming December, with the cost of ad-free streaming going up by a few dollars. The popular streaming service is now introducing an ad-supported tier, which will be the same price that current subscribers pay. If you wish to avoid ads, you’ll need to pay a bit more, with the ad-free tier costing $10.99 per month. But now, ahead of these updates, Disney+ is changing its subscriber agreement.

Well, okay, maybe that’s a *bit* of an exaggeration, but there are a ton of them! Remember the days when it was just Netflix? And DVDs were mailed to you?! Now, we also have Disney+, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Peacock, HBO Max, Apple TV+, Paramount+, ESPN+…we could keep going! These are all at various different price points and have different features, but those costs can really add up. So, if you’re a Hulu subscriber, you need to lookout for an upcoming price increase.
There’s a battle going on between streaming services, and as consumers, we’re stuck right in the middle.

Netflix and Disney seem to be in the middle of a long-term showdown, with price increases, new programs, and now, the launch of ad-supported tiers. Both companies have had plans to introduce ads soon, but now it looks like Netflix is changing its strategy to beat Disney+.

Next month, Hocus Pocus 2 will be on Disney+ just in time for the holiday season! Disney has already been celebrating with new food, merchandise, and returning shows in the parks. We are barely containing our excitement and that’s why we decide to plan our watch party a month early!

We could spend DAYS re-watching our favorite classic Disney movies, getting caught up on the Marvel universe with both movies AND TV shows, and re-watching EVERYTHING Star Wars AND watching new Star Wars shows. However, Disney+ will be bringing even more original content to its service soon in the form of a classic story, King Kong!
