Did you know that November 18th marks Mickey and Minnie’s birthdays? While the date for Mickey’s birthday changed several times, November 18th is the date determined, and that has become accepted as his and Minnie’s birthdays. Other dates that were considered were October 1st, the day Walt first began drawing Mickey, as well as the dates when he debuted in his first and second films, Plane Crazy and The Gallopin’ Gaucho, both of which were never distributed. Thus, Walt Disney Archives founder Dave Smith determined the public premiere of Steamboat Willie to be the couple’s official birthday. Maybe we forgot to pack our rain gear, even though we know how finicky Florida weather can be. Maybe we forgot to try to get a virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and then all spots are gone and we’ll have to pay for Lightning Lane Single Pass if we want to ride it. We also do a lot of people-watching in Disney World and see how there are some things in Disney World that are so confusing that often throw people off. Well, we’ve got one particular thing in Magic Kingdom to point out that you’ll want to be aware of.
