It’s time for a party with Donald Duck — and friends! — at Donald’s Dino-Bash in Animal Kingdom!
To join the Bash, head on over to DinoLand, U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom.
That’s where you’ll find Donald for a new Character Greeting, along with (drum roll, please)…
Pluto (in the Boneyard)!
Launchpad McQuack from DuckTales!
Aaaand — YES!!! — Scrooge McDuck!
Chip ’n Dale join in the fun, too, in their new Dinosaur costumes.
They host greetings throughout the day, then starting at 4:00 pm (typically) they hold a Dino-riffic dance party!
With this many characters (including rarely seen ones like Scrooge and Launchpad), be sure to check your Times Guide (picked up upon entering the park) or your My Disney Experience app if there’s a certain character you especially want to meet.
Donald knows you’ve gotta have food for a party… and while there aren’t a ton of specialty snacks for the event, you will find a couple. (Plus, with Trilo-Bites, Dino Diner, Dino-Bite Snacks and more, you won’t be short on food in the direct area.)
For instance, a Pop Up Bar has found its way into DinoLand, and it’s serving — along with other drinks — the Cretaceous Cooler.
Remember this one from Restaurantosaurus last year? This cocktail featuring Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Midori, and pineapple juice is no longer served there, but it’s clearly the perfect sweet-and-tart drink for a Dino-Bash (with a hue to match)!
Speaking of Restaurantosaurus, that’s where you’ll find Donald’s Dino-Bash Cupcake.
Even though Donald is donning a bright new outfit for the Bash, this cupcake pays homage to classic Donald Duck, with blue buttercream icing, yellow-colored white chocolate pearls, and a red fondant bow.
Underneath all that is a yellow cake filled with lemon-flavored white-chocolate mousse.
Even with all those descriptors — and obvious oodles of food coloring — the flavor profile is actually relatively simple: vanilla and white chocolate flavors with just a hint of citrusy lemon in the creamy mousse center.
Donald’s Dino-Bash is one part of celebrating an Incredible Summer at Disney World. In Magic Kingdom, you can catch the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo through September 3rd. Guardians of the Galaxy-themed concerts will begin in Epcot on June 9th. And, of course, the biggest event of the summer — the opening of Toy Story Land — is June 30, 2018!
