This year is going to be BIG for the Disney Parks. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
is opening at Walt Disney World on August 29 and at Disneyland on May 31. Plus the all-new Skyliner transportation system will begin operating at Walt Disney World in the summer or fall! But that’s not all…
Guests to the Disney Parks on both coasts will get to enjoy lots of new and exciting restaurants! Read on to learn more about what’s opening and where — PLUS when you can expect to be able to visit each spot!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Restaurants
When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens, guests won’t just get to enjoy Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (click here to see why Rise will open in phase two!) — we’ll get to experience five new dining experiences on planet Batuu!
First up: Oga’s Cantina. Here, you can expect to find themed cocktails and non-alcoholic specialty drinks. Specialties will include The Outer Rim, the Yub Nub, and the Fuzzy Tauntaun — plus several more! Oga’s really mixing things up at the cantina!
Don’t forget about the Cantina entertainment, either: RX-24 (Captain Rex from the original Star Tours) will serve as the DJ.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
will be a sit-down restaurant and features a delivery shuttle on the roof. The story goes that Proprietor Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs runs the kitchen, having once honed his cooking craft in the kitchen of Maz Kanata. The menu will include plated eats like Oven-Roasted Burra Fish, Smoked Kaadu Ribs, and the Felucian Garden Spread.
And there will be desserts! Dine on a Raspberry Crème Puff or Chocolate Cake!
Ronto Roasters
will serve up quick service sandwiches — including the spot’s signature dish the Ronto Wrap! The Ronto Wrap is packed with spiced grilled sausage and roasted pork, making it a protein blast to help fuel plenty of Black Spire Outpost fun!
Milk Stand
will be a beverage spot serving up Blue Milk and Green Milk. Blue Milk is billed as non-dairy, while Green Milk is expected to have a milkshake consistency and citrus notes.
Kat Saka’s Kettle
will serve up a Disney Parks staple: popcorn! Kat Saka’s will offer flavored popcorn, including salty, sweet, and spicy varieties ! Perfect waiting-in-line-for-hours snacking!
All five dining spots are scheduled to open with phase one in Disneyland on May 31, 2019!
Disney Springs Restaurants
Meanwhile, two new restaurants are scheduled to open at Disney Springs in 2019. (And two have already opened: Jaleo and Pepe by Jose Andres!)
City Works Eatery and Pour House
For sports fans and craft beer enthusiasts, City Works Eatery and Pour House will be a dream come true. Experience more than 80 beers on tap and sporting events displayed on a giant 160″ screen. Scheduled to open on Disney Springs’s West Side in the summer of 2019.

A more casual Coronado Springs dining location, Three Bridges Bar and Grill (originally called Villa del Lago — and some signage even still calls it this!), will also be opening at Coronado Springs Resort during the summer of 2019! Three Bridges Bar and Grill will be located at the center of Lago Dorado, the 14-acre lake the resort surrounds.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney World’s Riviera Resort will be topped by Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera, which will also have views of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios — including fireworks shows!

Bar Riva will be a vibrant poolside bar, while Le Petit Cafe will be located off the lobby and offer up specialty coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings! Primo Piatto will be the resort’s quick service and grab-and-go eats, while Voyageurs’ Lounge (also located off the lobby) will celebrate Walt Disney’s love of Europe.

Epcot Restaurants
The Mission Space restaurant at Epcot – billed in job postings as Space 220 – has yet to announce a timeframe for launch. Based on recent job postings, though, we’re probably looking at sometime in 2020.
See more details about Space 220 here!
Epcot’s Japan Pavilion will also be welcoming a Signature Dining table service restaurant. No official opening date has been determined. Click here for a construction update!

Let us know in the comments: which restaurant are you most excited about!?
I hope someone can correct me on this, but it seems like Disney didn’t care to have any women representation in the ‘cool new chef restaurants’ in Disney Springs.
For the mission space restaurant… you say it will be open sometime in 2020 based on recent job posting. But the link to the job posting info says April 2019?
You mention the mission space restaurant—Space 220, opening in 2020. However, job postings show opening date of April 2019. Can you please clarify?
Sierra400, the opening date of the restaurant is still just speculation, but we believe the job posting (which was for international staff) has an April 2019 date in order to provide time for casting, overseas relocations, and training.
Just wanted to say thanks you for all of the amazing information you provide. It helps soooooo much!
