Today we’re checking out some of the tastes of the 2019 Flavors of Florida in Disney Springs. From now through September 2, 2019, guests can visit 20 dining venues throughout Disney Springs and enjoy dishes and drinks inspired by the Sunshine State!
So far, we’ve tucked into the Smoked Prime Rib Slider from The Polite Pig, the Gator Tail Waffle Cone from Morimoto Asia, and checked out the chocolate goodness they’re serving up at The Ganachery. And now, we’re trying the specialty offering at Amorette’s Patisserie.
For the Flavors of Florida, Amorette’s has introduced a Blood Orange Mousse ($8.00) which is a lemon chiffon cake with grapefruit gelée.
The mousse itself is remarkably light and airy, and bursting with citrus flavor. And the grapefruit gelée center, which we thought might be too intense, was actually quite enjoyable.
Our one critique is that it would have been nice to have more of that yummy lemon chiffon cake on the bottom. But for a great representation of a taste of the Sunshine State, you can’t beat this sweet citrusy treat!
You can find this and all of the other Flavors of Florida from now until September 2, 2019 throughout Disney Springs!
