It’s a shame that the only time of the year we get to eat a lot of gingerbread snacks is during the holidays — we would totally eat them year-round!
But the good news is that there are plenty of gingerbread treats available to Disney World guests this time of year, and we’ve tried a lot of them. Some of these festive holiday snacks include a gingerbread muffin, gingerbread churros, and gingerbread cookies.
Today, we spotted a new gingerbread treat at P & J’s Southern Takeout at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground — a Gingerbread Cupcake! This is a gingerbread cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting. And it features a cute white chocolate holiday Chip ‘n’ Dale piece on it! This cupcake is everything a gingerbread snack should be.
The cake is moist with loads of great flavor, but wait, because the inside holds a special surprise — a spiced apple filling! It’s a nice surprise, although we thought the cupcake would be good even without it! And will you look at that icing piled on top? Its sweetness works so well with the spiciness of the cake and filling.
You can pick up one of these babies for $4.99. If you’re a gingerbread lover, you will want to try it out! And we’ll keep trying out all the other holiday treats at Disney World, too!

Looks delicious! When do the holiday treats go away? We’re planning to visit Jan 3-7 and hoping to get in on some gingerbread action. Will we be too late?
Michael, you may find they’re still available. Typically holiday treats can last into the New Year. Of course, that’s not guaranteed, but hopefully it’ll hold true.
