There’s SO MUCH going on over at EPCOT right now!
With the transformation of the park currently underway, we’re seeing construction walls everywhere! The park will soon be divided into four new neighborhoods, and we’ll get several new attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Along with these additions, we’re getting a new fireworks show, and today some of the new showpieces were moved into place in EPCOT!
If you’re as excited for EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular, Harmonious, as we are, then get pumped! Because today, Imagineer Zach Riddley shared photos of the first barge for the show arriving in the World Showcase Lagoon!
On his Instagram, Zach said “Overnight, the first of five enormous floating platforms was moved into position on World Showcase Lagoon to begin testing of its onboard show equipment.”
We found out previously that altogether the 5 platforms will create a spectacular water fountain during the daytime, and now we’re beginning to realize just how large that water feature will be!
Harmonious is set to be one of the biggest nighttime shows ever created for a Disney park, and we’re thrilled to see it coming together! We previously saw photos of the barges backstage, but it’s quite exciting to see one get moved into its future home.Â
In his Instagram post, Zach stated “Work continues, and we will be sharing details of the creative vision, music, imagery and global inspiration for this one-of-a-kind spectacular as we make additional progress.”
We’re very excited to share these additional details as they come in, so keep an eye on DFB for the latest updates on this show! Until then, stay tuned for all the latest news from the Disney parks and the Walt Disney Company!

WAit wait wait!
Thats not a permanent structure is it???
Or is it a movable barge like all the past shows had.
That will look horrible and destroy the pretty views.

What an eye sore! Maybe it will be lowered into the water??

I agree, I hop the sides fold down and they sink the barge to water level. This eyesore will spoil the across the lake views which are a very important part of the Epcot ambiance. I loved the previous shows, I hope they do not spoil a inspiring track record. Where is Michael Eisner when we need him….
