Disney World is currently operating at limited capacity due to health and safety regulations.
Although some resorts, restaurants, and attractions have plans to reopen, many remain closed. Others are unavailable for temporary, scheduled refurbishments. We’ve been keeping tabs on all of these closures. To help you plan your vacation, here are all the hotels and attractions that will be closed in Disney World in March 2021!
Disney World Resorts
Closed Resorts
We’re slowly getting opening announcements for Disney’s resorts — some of these will even open in the coming months! However, the following hotels are currently closed:
- Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Animal Kingdom Villas Jambo House
- All-Star Sports Resort
- All-Star Music Resort
- All-Star Movies Resort
- Beach Club Resort
- Boardwalk Inn
- Wilderness Lodge
- Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter Resorts
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Open for DVC Guests and Dining Visitors
Many of the Disney Vacation Club Villas in these “closed” resorts are open for guests! Select restaurants are also open for guests with reservations. Here are all the resorts open for DVC reservations and dining:
- Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village and Jambo House
- Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Beach Club Villas
- Boardwalk Villas
- Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
Resort Reopen Dates
Disney has announced reopening dates for 4 of their resorts. Keep in mind, though, that while Disney’s Polynesian Village is currently open for dining and DVC guests, it’s undergoing some serious construction. The monorail platform has been demolished, and the entrance, lobby, and guest rooms are all being reimagined.
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort — March 22nd
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort — May 30th
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge — June 6th
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort — Summer 2021
Disney World Attractions
Attractions Closed for Refurbishments

Magic Kingdom Attractions with No Scheduled Reopen Dates
Other attractions are closed due to health and safety precautions — or due to Disney’s limited operations. The splash zones and play areas are high-touch areas and have been closed for safety. The following Magic Kingdom attractions will be closed in March:
- Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station
- Enchanted Tales with Belle
- Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade
- Main Street Vehicles
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
- A Pirate’s Adventure — Treasures of the Seven Seas
EPCOT Attractions with No Scheduled Reopen Dates
Interactive attractions in EPCOT have also been closed for safety reasons. Many of these are located in The Seas with Nemo and Friends building.
- Turtle Talk with Crush
- Advanced Training Lab
- Bruce’s Shark World
- Project Tomorrow: Inventing the Wonders of the Future
Rose and Crown Dining Room in EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion is also closed for refurbishment. The restaurant is expected to reopen in early spring 2021.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Attractions with No Scheduled Reopen Dates
Many shows in Disney’s Hollywood Studios are closed temporarily, and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular has turned into a Relaxation Station.
- Star Wars: Launch Bay
- Voyage of the Little Mermaid
- Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
- Fantasmic!
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Attractions with No Scheduled Reopen Dates
The Festival of the Lion King will reopen as a modified show this summer. However, other Animal Kingdom attractions remain closed.
- Boneyard Play Area
- Finding Nemo: the Musical
Water Park Closures
Disney’s Blizzard Beach is scheduled to reopen under new health regulations on March 7th, 2021. Typhoon Lagoon still has no announced reopening date.
Keep in mind that all of these reopening dates are highly subject to change. We’ll keep you updated as this calendar shifts, and you can also keep an eye on Disney World’s online refurbishment calendar! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.

I have been thinking about getting your DFB guide. Would I need 2 as I use my computer more than my phone and when I go to Disneyworld I would obviously use my phone How would i know if there is enough room on my phone
Ann, I’m not sure how much memory the Guide takes up on a phone; I do know that on an Apple device, it opens as a PDF in the Books app. As for needing more than one copy: you receive nine downloads with your purchase, so you could absolutely download it on your computer and your phone with no issue.
