Ready to visit your favorite Disneyland pals, eat some delicious snacks, and hop on some classic rides? Well, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will soon be open again and you’ll be able to do all that and more!
Just like at Disney World, in order to visit the theme parks at Disneyland Resort you’ll need to make a park reservation. If you’re hoping to visit Disneyland, then you’ll want to act fast because park reservations are now available for select guests!!
In order to visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park when they reopen, you’ll need a few important things — namely, a valid park ticket AND a park reservation for the first park you want to visit that day. Every single person in your group ages 3 and up will need both a ticket and park reservation.
If you’ve got an existing, valid ticket for Disneyland, you can officially start making those park reservations TODAY, April 12th! When we went to the park reservation website for Disneyland we were met with this EVER familiar page.
We also got a look at some information about the park reservations. As the website specifically notes, being placed in the queue doesn’t guarantee the ability to make a reservation as availability is limited.
The website also breaks down what guests can currently make the reservations (guests with a valid theme park ticket or a Disney Travel Company package with tickets), how ticket sales will resume on April 15th, and when dining reservations will resume.
Eventually, during our wait the screen provided us with a wait time. We ultimately got to the point where we were next in line, but due to high demand, the system then placed us into another waiting room. So, just be aware that this might happen to you too.
And then FINALLY we got through and were able to make our reservation!! Hooray!
To make your park reservation, you’ll need to: log into your Disney account, link your valid tickets, access the reservation system, create your party, select the day and theme park you’d like to visit, and then review and confirm your visit. Click here to visit the Disneyland theme park reservation website.
If you don’t have any existing tickets for Disneyland, you’ll be able to purchase new tickets on April 15th. At that point, you’ll then also be able to make your park reservations.
You can also now visit the Disneyland Resort theme park reservation availability page.
This shows whether reservations are available for one or both parks on each day depending on whether you are a 1-park per day ticket guest or park hopper tickets guest.

Just keep in mind that the parks will only be reopening to California residents at this time. Also, groups must be no larger than 3 households in order to visit.
What if you want to visit BOTH Disneyland Resort theme parks on one day? Well, you may be able to do that but there are a few rules you’ll need to follow.
Click here to see all the details on whether you’ll be able to visit both parks in one day at Disneyland Resort.
If you’re planning to visit Disneyland’s theme parks, we highly recommend you make your park reservations AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! We expect that park reservations, especially for those first few days surrounding the reopening on April 30th, could sell out VERY quickly. So, be sure to get your reservations all arranged while they’re still available.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more details about the Disneyland reopening and let you know what we find. Stay tuned for all the latest Disney news!
