Disneyland’s big reopening day is coming SOON!
We’ve already taken a look at what rides and restaurants will be available, what characters you could see in the parks, and so much more. But if you’re a Star Wars fan, you may be wondering about a popular ride in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. We recently shared some details about the virtual queue that will be used for Rise of the Resistance, but now, we’ve got more updates!
As we’ve mentioned before, the virtual queue system WILL still be in place for Rise of the Resistance upon Disneyland’s reopening.
When will you be able to grab a Boarding Group? Well, you’ll have 2 chances to snag a spot, and now, we know exactly what those times are. Disney has recently shared that the 2 Boarding Group distribution times will be 7AM and 12PM daily!
You’ll need to use the Disneyland mobile app to join the virtual queue — so be sure you’ve got that downloaded and set up well in advance. And you’ll need to make sure your park tickets are linked to your Disney account.
Let’s break down what you need to know about each Boarding Group time.
What’s really great is you’ll be able to join that 7AM boarding group from outside the park — just like in Disney World! Disney has specified you’ll be able to check for an available boarding group at that 7AM slot before you leave your hotel, home, or wherever else you may be.
So, if you fall into that group, be sure to set those alarms!
During the 12PM Boarding Group distribution time, guests with a Disneyland Park ticket (and Disneyland Park theme park reservation) or guests with a Park Hopper ticket (and a theme park reservation, including a theme park reservation for Disney California Adventure Park) will have the chance to sign up.
According to Disney, “To access the virtual queue opportunity beginning at 12 p.m., be sure you have entered Disneyland, or Disney California Adventure park with a Park Hopper ticket, by noon.” Then, at 12PM, you’ll be able to check for a Boarding Group. Disney notes, “Guests who begin their day at Disney California Adventure and who have obtained a boarding group may then enter Disneyland with their Park Hopper ticket after 1p.m. for their boarding group, subject to availability.”
Note that each Guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day, and joining a virtual queue does NOT guarantee your ability to ride Rise of the Resistance.
Best of luck scoring that boarding group! May the Force be with you. 😉 We’ll keep you posted with lots more Disneyland reopening news, so stay tuned to DFB!
