April 30th is getting closer!
We’re looking forward to Disneyland’s big reopening, and we’re bringing you ALL the details. A few days ago, we confirmed the list of all the rides that would be reopening with the parks — and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was included! Now, we have even more details on what your journey to Galaxy’s Edge will look like.
First of all, the virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance WILL still be in place. Just like before, you’ll be able to join this queue using your Disneyland app — it’s the only way to ride. You’ll have 2 opportunities to join: once in the morning and once later in the day! Disneyland hasn’t announced the specific times for the queues, but we’ll let you know when they do.
Similar to the current boarding group situation in Disney World, you’ll be able to join that virtual queue in the morning from outside the park. You will, though, need to have a valid ticket and a theme park reservation for Disneyland park.
To access the second virtual queue, you’ll need to have entered either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. If you’re joining from Disney California Adventure, you’ll need to have a Park Hopper ticket. This DOES differ from Disney World, which requires you to be inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios in particular to access that second queue.
Like we mentioned, Disney hasn’t announced what time these 2 virtual queues will open each day, but we’ll keep an eye out! We’ll also continue to share any more Disneyland reopening details. Stay tuned to DFB!
