This weekend marks the official beginning of summer, and yes, it’s really starting to feel like summer here at Disney World (it’s hot, y’all).

And we’ve already started to indulge in some summery treats including a Watermelon Dole Whip, a Memorial Day cupcake, a 70’s-inspired cocktail, and ice cream from the new ice cream shop at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn! But we just found a new summertime treat today that actually TASTES like summer!
This new snack is called the Trilo-Bites Twist, but don’t let the name fool you — because it’s a Dole Whip! Well, technically, it’s Orange Dole Whip swirled with Vanilla Soft-Serve Ice Cream.

And yes, we’re totally getting Creamsicle vibes here! The Orange Dole Whip mixed with the vanilla was exactly like the Dole Whip Orange & Vanilla Swirl we’ve had before — not to be confused with the tart Citrus Swirl at Magic Kingdom’s Sunshine Tree Terrace.

The vanilla ice cream is also colored green, which makes it bright AND fun! This tasted like a creamsicle in a cup! If you like Orange Dole Whip or you’re a huge creamsicle fan, you’ll love this swirl. It’s a perfect snack in the Florida heat, but you’ll want to eat it fast before it melts! The Dole Whip is super refreshing and one of the few places you can grab it in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

I have a question for the people of DFB that go to the parks and get all the food and take pictures of all of it. Do you eat the whole thing or just take pictures, cut into it, take a bite and toss it? I have been wondering this for a number of years now. I am glad my son told me about DFB in 2019 before we went as a family (I have been going to WDW for years but 2019 was our first family trip) because I have learned a lot from you.
Dole Whip changes flavor to make it more intersestinga lot of people did not like the pineapple .I liked the swirl it balanced the pineapple . I use to get it every time I went I cannot eat it anymore so I have to share for a taste . I am old and cannot have everything I want anymore . Disney should have treats for us older people with sugar problems .
