With over 20 Disney World hotels to choose from, which rooms will come out on top??
From super classy to ultra-themed, the Disney World Resort hotels offer a wide variety of atmosphere and decor for guests. With so many different options on the table, it’s hard to decide which hotel has the best rooms to come home to after a long day at the parks. That’s why we reached out to YOU to decide!
We asked our Instagram followers to sound off on which Disney World hotel they think has the best rooms. And while most of the hotels got at least some love, there was definitely a handful that stood out from the pack. Let’s take a look at the most popular responses among our readers!
Deluxe Resorts
There was a LOT of love for the Deluxe Resorts from our followers! This does make sense since the higher prices translate to more space and amenities.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort rooms came out on top for our readers, getting the most shout-outs of all the hotels. The proximity to Magic Kingdom gives these rooms major points, with one person commenting, “The view is magical!” Some also mentioned that they’re even MORE excited to stay at the new Moana-themed rooms at the Poly!
Another one of the top answers with Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Our readers love that the rooms provide a nice, peaceful escape to contrast with the hustle and bustle of the theme parks!
And we also have a relatively new hotel that has already made a big impression! Disney’s Riviera Resort got a ton of love, thanks to its classy rooms that still maintain a touch of Disney theming. One respondent said, “The Riviera has clean rooms, super nice beds, and a nice room arrangement.”
Of course, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge rooms also made the list thanks to their incredible views. “Animal Kingdom Lodge. Can’t beat that savanna view.”
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort also got a bunch of mentions, with several people giving a shoutout to the large (or should we say, grand) rooms. “Grand Floridian, those rooms are huge!”
And as a Disney Vacation Club Resort, Old Key West has even more space to speak of, “Old Key West! The rooms are huge and the full kitchen is the best.” This resort features really large, spacious rooms. The location is a bit away from everything (closest to Disney Springs) but the ample space to spread out can make it worth it.
Based on the responses from our readers, if you’re looking for a room with an awesome view or tons of space, a Deluxe Resort might be the way to go!

Moderate Resorts
A few Moderate Resorts also racked up a ton of shoutouts from our readers for their awesome rooms. The Moderate Resort with the most mentions was Port Orleans Riverside, thanks to some quintessential Disney theming in the princess-themed Royal Rooms. “Port Orleans Riverside! But mostly for the Royal Rooms of course!”
And the still new-ish Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort also got some love, with readers mentioning the great value of the rooms for their size and amenities. “Gran Destino. The rooms look like they would be more expensive than they are.” We agree — for the price and amenities, this resort gives off Deluxe vibes for much less $$.
That just goes to show that there’s more to look at than just the price tag when deciding which hotel room will be the best fit for your family!
Why People HATE These Disney World Hotels
Value Resorts
Speaking of there being more to consider than a hotel price tag, one Value Resort got a TON of shoutouts. In fact, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort was right up there with some of the Deluxe Resorts as one of the top responses overall!
These hotel rooms got major points for their incredible Disney-theming. A few people mentioned their love for the standard rooms in The Little Mermaid section…
…but most of the love went to the family suites in the other sections of the Resort! “I love the family suites at Art of Animation, so much fun!!”
Based on the responses, it seems that many of our readers have a preferred theme, and several people mentioned both The Lion King family suites and the Finding Nemo family suites as their favorites of the bunch! “Family suites are THE pinnacle of room theming!”
The family suites at Art of Animation do come with a higher price tag than the standard rooms, but they also hold a lot more people than standard rooms do! If you’re traveling with a large enough party to take advantage of the extra space, these rooms could offer you the perfect mix of good value and Disney theming!
Three Disney World Hotels Will Have Completely NEW ROOMS!
When it comes to favorite Disney World hotel rooms, the Deluxe Resorts unsurprisingly got a lot of mentions. As one of our readers said, “You get what you pay for.” But depending on your preferences and priorities, there are clearly some awesome choices in ALL of the hotel categories! We’ll continue to report back from all of the hotels around Disney World to help you make the best choice for your family!

The rooms might be a little bigger but now they have all mostly been renovated they all look mostly the same. Maybe a little nicer furniture but that seems to be it. Except for the view at Animal kingdom lodge.
