Though many things have reopened in Disney World, several experiences, restaurants, and/or attractions are still closed.
Recently, we’ve seen select restaurants reopen and news shared about entertainment that is set to return in the future. Now, we’ve got a BIG update about a bunch of awesome tours and special experiences returning to the parks in 2022!
Disney recently announced that all of the following tours will be returning on February 6th, 2022 and most are now available for booking. Let’s take a look at what will soon be coming back:
First up, we have the return of the Keys to the Kingdom Tour in Magic Kingdom. With this tour, guests get to learn about the history of Magic Kingdom, take a visit to the underground Utilidors, learn about some ride secrets, enjoy lunch, and more.
The tour lasts 5 hours and is priced at $114 per person (not including tax). It is limited to those 16 years old and older.
If you are big fan of animals, then you might want to check out the Caring for Giants tour when it returns. With this 60-minute tour, you’ll get to learn more about the African elephant herd in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and get a glimpse at what it takes to care for these amazing creatures.
You’ll also get to view the elephants from a special backstage viewing area. The tour is priced at $35 per person (tax not included). Guests must be 4 years old or older to participate.
Want a tour that will make you feel quite adventurous? Then check out the Wild Africa Trek! With this tour at Animal Kingdom you get to cross a swinging rope bridge near crocodiles, ride along the savanna, learn more about the animals, and even enjoy some African-inspired snacks!
The tour costs $199 per person (tax not included) and is limited to those 8 years and older who meet a specific height and weight requirement.
You can get an up close view of more animals with the Up Close with Rhinos tour. This tour lasts 60 minutes and takes guests backstage to see some rhinos from a special viewing area. You’ll get to learn about their behavior and the challenges that these animals face in the wild.
The tour is limited to those ages 4 and older and it is priced at $45 per person (not including tax).
Finally, you can combine your love for the sights and sounds of the savanna with your love for FOOD with the Savor the Savanna experience. This experience will be available to book later this month.
During the tour, you get to experience a private safari, and then taste some African-inspired dishes, paired with regional beer and wine options, as you look over the Harambe Wildlife Reserve from a special, private viewing area. You’ll also get to listen to a guide as they talk about the unique residents in the reserve and the care provided to the animals in the park.
The experience is priced at $174 per person (tax not included) and it is limited to those ages 8 and up.
Advance bookings are highly recommended for all of these tours. You should be able to check for and make reservations for all of the tours mentioned above (except for Savor the Savanna) right now. Reservations for Savor the Savanna will open later this month.
