There are a number of existing Disney Vacation Club resorts or villas to stay at in Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond.
Within the past few years we’ve seen more DVC spots pop up, like Disney’s Riviera Resort. And back in 2019, we shared that a new 12-story DVC tower was coming to Disneyland. We had been watching for signs of progress on these plans and even got a sneak peek at concept art for the tower back in 2021’s Destination D23. But now we’ve got even MORE updates!
A huge thank you to our reader, John, for sending us these photos and allowing us to share them with you. John stayed at the Disneyland hotel recently and got a view of the construction going on with the new DVC tower.
It looks like things are certainly a work in progress here with quite a bit of construction equipment on site.
Of course we’re still a ways away from this being even remotely ready for guests to stay in, but it’s neat to get a view of the tower as it begins to be constructed.
If you’re not familiar with the plans for this DVC tower, it is meant to ultimately be a 12-story tower next to the Disneyland Hotel. The tower will be L-shaped and will feature 350 time share villas.
The addition will feature a new pool, outdoor bar, interactive play area, community hall, and fitness center.
The outside of the tower will have some added magic from Tinker Bell herself (see the pixie dust on the building?!). The pool will be inspired by Artist’s Palette and the children’s play area will have a specific story being told through it.
The story behind the rooms themselves is that they’re themed to be designed from the perspective and creative approach of a Disney artist.
They even studied the sketching style of Walt Disney for some areas.

The DVC tower still has a ways to go before it’ll be close to complete, but we’re excited to see it once it’s all done. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find.
