Many things have returned to Disney World, but we’re still waiting on some stuff to come back!
Select restaurants remain closed, as do a few stores, and even the barber shop on Main Street, U.S.A. There are also a handful of things that Disney has announced are returning, but we’re still waiting for their opening dates to arrive, like Victoria & Alberts and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! Last year, Disney announced that Fantasmic! would be returning to Hollywood Studios in 2022, and we now have more info on the show!
Last year, Disney revealed that Fantasmic! would return with a new segment of the show that includes new characters, stunt performers, animation, and more…and we just found out more details!
The new show sequence will feature Disney characters like Mulan, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Moana, and Elsa in heroic moments! At a media event, it was shared that the Pocahontas scene specifically would be the one receiving the biggest changes and overhaul.
Disney says there will also be new technical enhancements! The show already was known for its extravagance, with 50 live performers, extensive sets, fun special effects, music, and pyrotechnics.
The official return date of the show has yet to be revealed, but we do know that it will return later this year. We can’t wait to see this show again and watch the battle between good vs. evil over the water in Hollywood Studios! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news and updates.

Today, we were invited by Disney World to attend a media preview of some new offerings coming to the parks. Hurry Fantasmic!
I’ll be at Disney world all the over from Australia in July, do you think there’s a chance Fantasmic will be back by then? I am literally praying! 🙂
I hope they do not change it too much, it is such a great show.
I wish more of the special food offerings were gluten free. It’s very frustrating for those of us with celiac and it really wouldn’t be difficult to change some of them.
