Here there DFB friends! We’re back again with more of what’s new in EPCOT!
If you’re like us, you love hearing about anything and everything new around Disney World, and EPCOT was no exception this week! From a new Lightyear merchandise collection to several new MagicBands, it’s a good time to go shopping in EPCOT.
EPCOT Food News
At La Cava del Tequila, the Horchata Margarita has been removed from the menu. This is not the first time we’ve seen this drink disappear from the menu, but we have also seen it reappear, so there’s hope!
The Horchata Margarita was made with Casa Noble Tequila Blanco, Abasolo Whisky, agua de horchata, Chila ‘Orchata rum, and “a hint of cinnamon-infused” Mezcal Ojo de Tigre, and we’ll be watching closely to see if it returns to the menu!
And at Sunshine Seasons, we stopped by to try the plant-based Mediterranean Vegetable Sandwich for $9.99. It’s made with roasted red peppers, red onions, tomatoes, arugula, hummus, and balsamic vinaigrette, served on herbed focaccia bread, and it also comes with a side of potato chips.
This sandwich is FULL of flavor! The peppers, onion, and arugula had a great flavor from the balsamic vinaigrette, plus a nice, refreshing crunch, and we loved the pairing of the creamy hummus with the crunch. It reminded us of the Lighthouse Sandwich that was once at Columbia Harbour House, so if you miss that sandwich you might want to give this one a try!
EPCOT Construction News
In the Mexico Pavilion, the line dividers in the Gran Fiesta Tour queue have been removed!
We also noticed that a few areas in front of the World Showcase were blocked off, most likely in preparation for the livestream of Harmonious!
Harmonious is EPCOT’s newest nighttime spectacular, and it features fireworks, lights, lasers, pyrotechnics, music, and more — all from floating barges in the World Showcase Lagoon. Harmonious Live! will be streamed on Disney+ to subscribers in the United States or Canada, so don’t forget to tune in!
