EPCOT is in the middle of some big changes right now!
The park is under a major transformation, meaning that a large portion of the area is covered in construction walls while Disney adds in new attractions, new landscaping, and new buildings. Many parts of the transformation are complete (like the addition of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Creations Shop, and Harmonious), but there’s still a long way to go. However, besides the big updates, there’s a lot of news happening in EPCOT on a daily basis — today we’re sharing everything that’s new in EPCOT from the past week!
EPCOT Food Updates
International Food & Wine Festival
Let’s start things out with the BIG news — the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has begun! This year’s fest kicked off on July 14th with a wide variety of food booths, a TON of new merchandise, some exciting entertainment offerings, and some family-friendly activities. There’s a lot to do at this year’s fest!
We were there on opening day to try out all the eats (including the one new booth, The Fry Basket), and we’ve got full reviews of everything we ate and drank. Make sure to check them out if you’re visiting in the next few months!

Gelateria Toscana
Over at Gelateria Toscana (the gelato stand in Italy), we spotted the new Coppa Amarena on the menu! You can get it for $11.75 and it comes with Vanilla Gelato, Amarena Cherries, Amaretto Cookies, Whipped Cream, and Shaved Chocolate.
Boy, was this thing pretty! It melts quickly because of that Florida heat, but we thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate, vanilla, and cherry combination of flavors. Check out our full review below!

EPCOT Construction Updates
World Celebration and World Nature
First up in construction, let’s take a ride on the monorail to check out what’s going on with Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. The attraction seems to be coming along, because we’re noticing more new rock structures, walls, and buildings each week!
And World Celebration construction has expanded in some places as well. Currently, the walls on the right side of Spaceship Earth are up underneath the sphere, even coming as far up as to block the side of the ride queue.
Don’t worry though — you can still come this direction to head to World Nature, you’ll just need to follow the walls until you pass the restrooms and head towards The Seas Pavilion.
World Showcase
As you make your way into World Showcase on the World Nature side, you’ll pass some construction scrim as you approach the restrooms. This area is typically a playground for children, and it’s currently under construction.
We often see it open during festival seasons, so it’s possible that they’re getting it ready for Food & Wine. We’ll keep watching to see if anything changes!
Japan Pavilion
Mitsukoshi Department Store is under some interior construction currently, and a large section of the store is blocked by black tarps. It covers much of the right side, where the pick-a-pearl experience used to be.
Guests are still welcome to come in here and do their shopping, and there is still PLENTY of unique merchandise to choose from!

EPCOT Attractions Updates
American Adventure
Right next to the America Gardens Theatre, we spotted a brand new tip board with ride wait times, showtimes, and other important park information. We’ve seen these pop up all around the theme parks in the past several months, and they’re quite helpful for those who don’t want to rely so heavily on the My Disney Experience app for all the necessary information.
We’ve also seen tip boards installed in other parts of EPCOT, including one near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, so be on the lookout for them during your next visit!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Pin Traders
Several new pins arrived in Pin Traders at the front of EPCOT this week, and we’ve got all the details! First up is this gold Star Wars pin for $17.99; It’s a limited edition design celebrating the 45th Anniversary!
Another 45th Anniversary pin you can snag is this one, with Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke, and Obi-Wan all in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. What an iconic crew! It’s available for $17.99 as well.
Of course, we’ve also got to rep the dark side! This Darth Vader 45th Anniversary Pin is also $17.99.
And last but not least, there’s a new Star Wars mystery box pin set! Each box contains two randomly selected pins from the options listed on the back, each themed to a different character.
You can get the mystery box for $19.99.
Port of Entry
The 4th of July may be over, but you can still rep that patriotic Disney spirit anytime you like! (Especially if you’re hanging out in the American Adventure.) This week, we spotted this new Minnie Mouse Americana Shirt in Port of Entry.
The ringer tee design is $36.99.
Art of Disney
Looking for an expensive Disney souvenir? If so, you may want to check out the Art of Disney store in the American Adventure Pavilion. This week, there was a new figurine added to the collection, made to look like Constance the bride from Haunted Mansion.
She’s not cheap — it’ll cost you $65 to take her home. But how great would she look on your shelf?!
Die Weihnachts Ecke
In the Christmas shop in the Germany Pavilion, we spotted some new plushes that your little ones might be interested in. First up is the adorable Pooh design!
But we absolutely can’t forget about Pooh’s bouncy pal Tigger. Isn’t he precious?!
And finally, there’s a Dumbo version. Just look at those floppy ears — we love it!
You can get any of these plushes for $39.99 each.
Mexico Pavilion
In the Mexican Pavilion marketplace, we spotted this new Tervis available. It has a fun background pattern, with Mickey Mouse in blue, white, and red printed over it.
You can pick up the insulated cup for $39.99.
Creations Shop
Of course, we almost always find new merchandise to check out in Creations Shop! This week we got multiple items, including this Food & Wine Festival Pandora Bracelet and Charm Set for $195.
Three new coloring book activity sets are available as well. These would be great to keep your kiddos entertained while waiting in the parks! There’s a general Disney Princess design…
…a Rapunzel set…
…as well as one themed to Frozen! You can get each book for $19.99 with the supplies included.
We also spotted multiple new AirPod cases for the Food & Wine Festival! First up is a Mickey and Minnie Mouse design, which comes in both sizes for AirPods and AirPod Pros.
The Remy Food & Wine Festival design is available in both sizes as well! Unlike the rest of the Remy merchandise from the festival, this one isn’t Passholder exclusive.
And of course, there’s a Chef Figment case as well! You can get each of these designs for $19.99.
Need some new decor for your refrigerator? We’ve got new magnets! There’s the Chef Figment magnet…
…the Food & Wine Festival Logo Magnet…
…the Chef Mickey Magnet…
…and the Tiana Magnet! Each design matches one of the new merchandise collections for the festival. You can get the magnets for $14.99.
And because there STILL are not enough new Food & Wine Festival accessories (😉), Disney released phone cases as well. The Chef Remy phone case is a Passholder exclusive!
There’s a Figment phone case in (you guessed it!) purple. It has a bit of a 3D effect to it.
And finally, a Tiana design! These phone cases are $29.99 each.
We spotted other new items in Creations as well, including these fun Baby Yoda PJs for $54.99.
Bucket hats have been all the rage recently and if you want to hop on the trend, Disney released this Baby Yoda Bucket Hat in a mint-colored tie-dye for $39.99.
If you’re looking for something cozy to lounge in when you get home, this new Chip ‘n’ Dale sweat set is perfect! You can get the sweatshirt for $39.99…
…and the matching shorts for $36.99. Looks comfy!
And last but not least, those who are Guardians of the Galaxy fans may want to add a new accessory to their cosplays — Rocket’s tail! We previously spotted this souvenir (We suppose it’s a souvenir, right?) in Disneyland Resort.
You can add this very unique accessory to your collection for $24.99.
Treasures of Xandar
Speaking of…let’s move on over to the Treasures of Xandar store at the exit of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Here, we spotted a new Sculpted Pen Set for $19.99.
Perfect for days when you’re just feeling a little extra whimsical at work. Break out these bad boys and start humming “September” while you work!
Festival Merchandise Stands
And finally, let’s stop at the festival merchandise stands around the park! It was here that we first spotted the 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival ornaments for $19.99 each. There’s one for each merchandise collection: Chef Remy…
…Chef Figment…
…Chef Mickey and Minnie…
…Princess Tiana…
…and the festival logo collection!
We also spotted a Mickey Mouse Topiary Plush for $29.99. The Cast Member told us that this was part of a late shipment of Flower & Garden Festival merchandise — he’s just a little late to the party!
As with the start of any festival, we found a TON of new festival merchandise around the park on opening day. Make sure to check out our specific festival merchandise post to see all of it!

That’s everything new from EPCOT for now, but we’ll be back soon to get more updates! Keep following along with DFB for all the festival coverage, because we’ve got MORE Food & Wine Festival booths to check out when they open late on August 15th. That’s right — even more food to try!
There are also plenty of new things to check out at EPCOT recently, from new rides like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Cosmic Rewind to new restaurants like Space 220, La Crêperie de Paris, and Connections Eatery. We can’t wait to see what the park is like when the full transformation is complete!

since when does disney use plastic tarps and bags for walls for refurbishment areas, talk about rotten poor show. they use to always use a temp wall with pardon our dust signs. That in Japan is inexcusable.
