Sleeping Beauty Castle Will Get a NEW Look For Disney’s 100th Anniversary

The Walt Disney Company will hit a HUGE milestone in 2023!

2023 marks 100 years of the Walt Disney Company and beginning January 27th, Disneyland Resort will begin celebrating the anniversary with new decor, merchandise, food, and more, and Sleeping Beauty Castle will get a brand new look!

As of January 27th, Disneyland Resort will launch the 100 Years of Wonder celebration with “platinum-infused decor,” special costumes for characters, and Sleeping Beauty Castle will get a major glow-up!

100 Years of Wonder

The new look for Sleeping Beauty Castle will include platinum banners and bunting, a cabochon featuring the three Good Fairies, two water fountains on either side of the castle, and a wishing star placed on the tower.

Mickey and Minnie’s new costumes will be all about that platinum theme, with these new adorable outfits. Some of their pals will get shiny new costumes too!

Two nighttime spectaculars will debut with the celebration, including the “World of Color — One” at Disney California Adventure and “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland Park. Wondrous Journeys will include new projection effects on Sleeping Beauty Castle, which we’re excited to see with along with the new decor.

January 27th will also be the opening date of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, although the rest of Mickey’s Toontown will not reopen until Spring 2023.
