Did you know Disneyland recently celebrated a very special event?

Disney World just finished celebrating its 50th Anniversary and now The Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year. But over in Disneyland, the park is celebrating its 68th Anniversary!

Happy Birthday, Disneyland! We noticed that today was VERY busy in Disneyland right off the start because of the lines waiting for the trams into the park.

So many people!

The crowds didn’t thin out once we got into the park either.

Even MORE people

We made sure to get a good spot for the special 68th Birthday Cavalcade though, and many people had the same idea.

The parade started out with a float filled with some of our favorite characters — Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale!

And then we spotted the Dapper Dans and a few other characters on one of Disneyland’s Main Street vehicles.

Then the Disneyland band was quick to follow.

We also got to see some more characters like Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Merida, and Pocahontas!

The whole parade was wrapped up with a big cake float that wished a Happy 68th Birthday to the original park.
