Disneyland is getting a brand new restaurant soon, and we are here for it!
Earlier this year, Disney announced that the new Princess and the Frog-themed restaurant would be taking the place of the existing French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square, opening on September 7th, 2023. Tiana’s Palace is part of a transformation based around the retheming of Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and we have been excited to see how it evolves! Well, today we got some BIG news about this dining location — the full menu has been REVEALED!
Recently, Disney shared that this new quick-service restaurant would feature “peach-colored walls and fancy green wrought-iron balconies” and that Tiana’s Palace would have “pizzazz and flair” with flavors inspired by Tiana’s friends and adventures in New Orleans. We knew that the menu would take the favorites from the existing menu at this location and add seasonal flavors and New Orleans classics.
But now we know a bit more about what’s on the menu! Let’s take a look.
Heads up gumbo fans — there will be a few different options! The 7 Greens Gumbo features white beans, okra, yams, sweet potatoes, and heirloom rice.
You can also get the 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage.
Then there’s the House Gumbo which combines braised chicken, andouille sausage, and heirloom rice into a delicious stew.
The Cajun Spice Half Chicken is brushed with a house-made chicory BBQ sauce and served with baked macaroni and cheese & coleslaw.
The Muffuletta Sandwich features mortadella, salami, rosemary ham, cheddar, provolone, and house-made olive relish on toasted New Orleans sesame seed bread.
An icon, the Beef Po-boy Sandwich is made with slow-cooked beef perfectly coated with gravy and shredded lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on toasted New Orleans French bread.
The Gulf Shrimp and Grits comes with grilled shrimp tossed in a Creole sauce and paired with cheesy grits that are sure to transport you right to the French Quarter.
There will also be a ton of classic sides like Buttermilk Cornbread, Baked Macaroni and Cheese, Red Beans & Heirloom Rice, Coleslaw, Cheesy Grits, and plant-based Heirloom Rice.
Kiddos can grub on the Roasted Chicken Drumstick served with a sweet BBQ sauce and heirloom rice, or the Toasted Ham & Cheese Sandwich topped with savory ham and provolone. A classic Baked Macaroni and Cheese is on the menu for the kids too! These are accompanied by a Cuties Mandarin Orange and applesauce with water or milk.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Tiana’s Palace without beignets! The House-filled Beignet features a delicious lemon ice box pie filling topped with lemon glaze for the perfect bite. These come on a lily pad and lotus cup ceramic set that you can even take home with you.
If you’re thirsty, grab the Joffrey’s Coffee Chicory Cold Brew topped with sweet cream! There is also a Ray Firefly Glow Cube if you’re feelin’ fancy!
We were lucky enough to get a first look and taste of some of these items, so make sure you check out our review and stay tuned to DFB for more!

I am not sure who planned the menu for this restaurant but why are they trying to put a spin on food that does not require it. Have they ever been to New Orleans?
Kenh says
Food looks good, but the scary portion of this story is the price. The Disney price could place it out of reach for most families. I could very easily see pricing in the $15.96 to $29.95 range. I will pass.

We need a Tiana’s Palace Restaurant in Disney World.
Christy Sloan says
Did they even research actual Louisiana recipes before creating that mess?!! That ISN’T Louisiana gumbo!! Also, a La roast beef poboy doesn’t come dressed with lettuce, tomatoes or pickles. The roast beef has sautéed onions, cheese (Swiss), and is served with gravy or au jus for dipping.
Ricky says
@Christy Sloan you are soooooo correct. I have been to New Orleans many times and I have never seen these food items made this way!!!

Looks yummy!

New Orleans native here! Um… that’s is a roast beef poboy…. I mean yeah igs not as messy but I haven’t got a clue at what you’re talking with the aus jus, onions and provolone. Not single poboy has cheese on it unless you request it. Most are dressed but at minimum a roast beef poboy would have the beef tons of gravy and a healthy serving of mayo on it. I’m sad it doesn’t come with frys, like all poboys. I’d say the did there best they could with giving the gumbo a try but I dont have a clue what the heck of an attempt is going on with that chicken. If it ain’t fried get it away please. There ain’t no BBQ chickens unless you’re talking about the rotisserie at Costco ya heard me?

Had three of the dishes on Sunday at Tiana and none of them were hot , meaning served warm not hot and the portions are very small, even for Disneyland and the prices were a little too much and they didn’t taste that great. And who did the research on Southern food for them, where is the bread pudding and sweet tea and why so cheap with the rice, its the cheapest thing to serve to make a plate look full . And the house gumbo wasn’t good at all , neither was the chicken. I know they just opened up but come on Disney you can do better then this after waiting so long for this restaurant to open. Not happy but will give it one more try .
