It’s time to put on your fanciest lipstick, break out your nicest suit, and come with us to Disney’s NEW Jollywood Nights party. We’ve had our fun at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but this time, we’re headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a glamorous new holiday event.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
From the exclusive new treats to the exciting new shows, we’re taking you along with us as we experience EVERYTHING Jollywood Nights has to offer!
Crowds
Party guests can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios at 7PM. At around 5:30, we spotted guests lining up for the party, and the line was already getting pretty long!

Let’s DO this!
If you have a regular park ticket or an Annual Pass, you can enter the park earlier. Fair warning, though — it took our reporters between 30-45 minutes to get an event wristband inside the park.
Head over to Echo Lake for a wristband!
There was only one spot to get a Jollywood Nights party wristband (the Vacation Fun theater), so we got stuck in a little jam with all the other party people.

Keep in mind that the crowds can be difficult to judge just as the party is starting, as regular park guests are still filtering out and party guests are lining up to meet characters.

But on night one of a sold-out Jollywood Nights party, we saw some long lines for popular characters like Phineas and Ferb at 8PM.

Event Wristbands
Remember those wristbands we mentioned earlier? Keep ’em on! We saw several cast Members informing guests that they had to keep both their wristbands and commemorative lanyards on throughout the night.
Here’s a peek at the lanyard!
Oh, and the wristbands seem to be the plastic style we’ve seen for other parties, unlike the newer fabric wristbands we wore at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Don’t forget to keep your lanyard on, though — Cast Members will be checking!
Transportation
Oh, and as we were entering the park, we noticed this sign over by the Skyliner. A Cast Member confirmed that the Skyliner will not run past 9:30PM, so you’ll need to take a bus back to your hotel at the end of the night.

Of course, we had to try some of the special TREATS, because, DUH! There are OVER 50 exclusive treats available at this event, so you might want to make a list before the party! We kicked off the party with the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie with Red Velvet Cake, Candy Cane Buttercream, and Holiday Sprinkles! Stay tuned for a full review.

So, how should one dress for this event? They make it sound like one should dress up! I’m going in December. If it is cool, I may dress up with a X-mas shirt. 😉
Another swing and a miss for Disney. I’m glad I waited to buy tickets until the reviews of this disaster were out. I cannot imagine paying $160 or more for the opportunity to stand in long lines to pay for overpriced, undersized snacks and drinks in between standing in long lines to see obscure characters, and fiddling with phones to get virtual queues for rides and lounge access.
No thanks, Disney. We’ll spend that money over at Universal with the Orlando Informer Meetup.
Hi, Eugenio! Disney encourages guests to dress up if they want, but there is no pressure to do so if you prefer to stay more comfortable in regular park clothing :). I’ll keep my fingers crossed for cooler weather that you can bring out the Christmas shirt ;), and hope you have an awesome time!

Amazing how many bad reviews are coming in. I wish I could go ahead and get a refund now and not even worry about this, not looking for to this whats-so-ever, very disappointing to think this way but some many online reviews cannot be wrong
