When a booth is named “Gourmet Landscapes” you might be wondering what you’re in for. Are we talking about edible trees? Palatable sunsets? Delectable mountainscapes? Or perhaps you might have some some high gourmet food expectations, right? But can this Festival booth DELIVER on that promise of a “gourmet” meal experience? We’re about to find out.
We’re live at the 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, checking out the food studios, artistic performances, merchandise, and more. There’s a LOT going on, but don’t let it overwhelm you. We’re here to tell you everything you need to know before your visit. Let’s go to Gourmet Landscapes to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at the Gourmet Landscapes is the home of elegant comfort food with a twist. What’s that twist you ask? This whole menu is plant-based!
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive in and see if this plant-based food studio can live up to the “gourmet” title it boasts!
Eats
First up, we grabbed Citrus-braised Beet Tartare for $5.50.
This entree is made with golden beet “egg yolk,” mustard vinaigrette, pickled mustard seeds, pickled mushrooms, spiced pistachios, and “feta” snow. We were so impressed with how tasty this dish was. It is packed with flavor and somehow doesn’t taste like beets at all.
With the spices they added to the dish, they have transformed the beets into a savory profile that tastes fantastic. Everything comes together really well in this dish. The crostini, mustard seeds, mushrooms, and beets all work in perfect harmony together.
Next, we grabbed the returning Wild Mushroom Risotto for $9.75. This entree is made with aged parmesan, truffle shavings, and zinfandel reduction.
Last year, this was our favorite item at this booth! It’s plant-based, so that “parmesan” is really a coconut-based “cheese.” The dish was salty, delicious, creamy, and earthy. We even had to double-check with Cast Members that it is actually plant-based as it is super creamy!
The rich, creamy risotto pairs perfectly with the smoky, salty, umami flavors of the mushrooms. We think this dish is a star even if you aren’t vegan!
Drinks
First, we have the Whole Hog Brewery Raspberry Chéret Double Radler. You can get a 6oz pour for $5.75 or 12oz for $9.75. You can also find a Schlumberger Cuvée Klimt Brut on the menu for $9. Or you can opt for The Meeker Vineyard Winemaker’s Handprint Merlot for $11.
And finally, while here, you can get another returning cocktail, the Frozen Scotch Cocktail with Scotch and herbal tea garnished with a chocolate nail for $15.50.
We were very impressed with this cocktail! It was scotch-forward but still had a really nice lightness to it, thanks to the herbal tea. We tasted an almost cinnamon flavor in the drink. If you don’t enjoy scotch, you probably won’t like this drink, but we thought it was on the floral and sweet side. The chocolate nail was just milk chocolate. It was fun but it didn’t really change the drink itself.
OVERALL
We thought the dishes at this booth were wonderful! Even though they were both plant-based, we think anyone would enjoy them. The elements of the Citrus-braised Beet Tartare come together perfectly and create a really tasty dish.
The Wild Mushroom Risotto is definitely one of our favorite dishes we have tried. It is creamy, rich, earthy, and has a fantastic balance of flavors. We also enjoyed the Frozen Scotch Cocktail, but you will likely only like the drink if you enjoy scotch.
