The park is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary, and Oogie Boogie Bash is kicking off in August! If you’re headed to the park soon, you’ll definitely need this reminder that a popular ride is closing temporarily.

If you’re a fan of the spooky and macabre, we would be you’re probably a fan of the famous attraction, The Haunted Mansion! This popular dark ride is a Disneyland staple for a reason, and what makes it even more exciting is that once a year, it undergoes a major change.

If you didn’t know, during Disneyland’s holiday season, the Haunted Mansion becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday, which is inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas! The classic ride gets a big overhaul and features characters like Jack Skellington, Sally, and more. You might think it’s a little change, but no! It really does feel like its own unique ride, and while many Disney fans aren’t obsessed with this change, we love it.

This year, Haunted Mansion will close on August 9th, 2025, and will reopen on August 22nd, 2025, as the Haunted Mansion Holiday! We never love it when an attraction is unavailable, but we couldn’t be more excited to head back into The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The limited-time version of the attraction will be available from August 22nd, 2025, to January 7th, 2026! If you’re looking for any rare and unique fun, this is certainly one of the best times to go, especially with the 70th Anniversary celebrations going on.
