There are SO many great options for dining at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, and we’ve been to every single restaurant there, at this point. But there’s still more food we need to try, so we just keep going back.
Now, we’ve been to Cafe L’air de la Sirene Restaurant in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic before, but we recently returned to the restaurant to try out more of the menu. So what did we think? Well, we’re going to tell you!
Cafe L’air de la Sirene feels like a real Parisian restaurant, even if it sits in the middle of a theme park. There’s outdoor dining, like you would find at any authentic French cafe, but there’s also indoor dining in a gorgeous interior that makes it feel so very, VERY French. The restaurant also offers Mobile Order, so ordering your food is super easy.
Let’s just get right to dessert (you know, the good part). The Crêpe Citronnée aux Chambord for $19.99 is made with lemon cream cheese, Chambord sauce, and fresh berries wrapped in a delicate crêpe. This crêpe is so light and fruity and has a nice level of citrus flavor in the filling. It’s not as sweet or rich as the Butterbeer Crêpe, so if you’re looking for something lighter, this could be a good choice.
Okay, so we have a confession to make. This wasn’t our favorite crêpe. Nope, our favorite crêpe can be found on the Kids Menu. It’s the Petite Crêpe, which is a classic Nutella banana crepe topped with whipped cream and berries. The portion size is actually really good for adults who want a light breakfast. And yep, it’s our fave here.
Speaking of classics, we also ordered the Crème Brûlée with vanilla bean custard with fresh berries for $6.99. So we have a word of warning: this is not a dessert you want to eat outside when it’s hot and humid out. It quickly lost its crispy top, which is part of what makes for a great crème brûlée. So keep that in mind if you’re thinking of ordering it. Overall, though, it’s still tasty.
Café L’air De La Sirène really does give us the feeling that we’re eating at a Parisian cafe, and the crêpes here are always a solid choice. If you’re craving a little something sweet, don’t sleep on this restaurant!
