Epic Universe at Universal Orlando hasn’t even been open for a full year yet, but that doesn’t mean things aren’t already changing!
A new trademark was recently filed by Universal that hints at changes coming to the main hub of Epic Universe — Celestial Park. Is this the first step toward a new nighttime show? The trademark is for a “Celestial Goodnight,” and we’re sharing all the details we know so far.
Universal filed a new trademark application in late December 2025 for “Celestial Goodnight” — a new name and logo. The trademark description lists “the words UNIVERSAL CELESTIAL GOODNIGHT in stacked format. A shooting star design is above the word UNIVERSAL, with a single star to the left of the tail of the shooting star. A crescent moon design, facing left, is super-imposed beneath the “L” in CELESTIAL, and the “HT” in GOODNIGHT. An arrow design separates the words CELESTIAL and GOODNIGHT.” You can see the logo below.
Unfortunately, the trademark does not get any more specific than that, but we have a feeling this could be an official name for the nighttime show that takes place just before the park closes at the Cosmos Fountain. The show features dancing water jets, synchronized LED lights, and a musical score that shifts to match the different lands featured at Epic Universe. Up until now, there hasn’t been an official name for this “kiss goodnight.”
Of course, it’s also possible that Celestial Goodnight could be an updated version of this show, with new elements and fanfare. It could also be an entirely new show, too. As of now, Epic Universe doesn’t feature a fireworks show, but this could be a sign that a full-scale nighttime spectacular-style show could be coming to the park.
One thing is for sure: we’ll be paying close attention to this news for any additional updates.
In other Universal news, Universal Orlando Resort is going to ring in the New Year with a dazzling New Year’s Eve celebration you won’t want to miss. There will be live entertainment, a celebratory countdown, character appearances, and much more!
Universal Epic Universe is joining the festivities, inviting guests to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Universal’s newest theme park for the FIRST TIME EVER. In addition to access to the thrills of the park, guests can enjoy live music and entertainment from a DJ at the Hemisphere Stage in Celestial Park, and a midnight countdown celebration that includes a special fountain show that will span the expansive waterways of Celestial Park.
