Another permanent closure is coming to Universal Orlando, and this time, we’re pretty disappointed.

Animal Actors Live On Stage!

Universal has announced quite a few closures recently, and while some are for renovations or reimagining, this one is a permanent closure, which means we’re saying goodbye to another attraction.

According to Scott Gustin, Universal Orlando is closing Animal Actors On Location! Their final performance will be on Monday, November 2nd, and the show will close permanently on November 3rd.

This show allowed guests to watch talented animal actors from movies and television performing in a mix of video segments, live skits, and audience interactions. It was a great, family-friendly show and a relaxing way to spend a bit of time during your chaotic park day. The show has been around for over 30 years, so many of our team members have great nostalgia for it!

Fast & Furious: Supercharged closed in August, and Universal has not announced what will replace it.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit closed down in summer 2025 and is changing into Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, which is set to open in 2027. This ride is opening soon at Universal Hollywood but we’re glad to have another version in Orlando.

Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show temporarily closed in May and is getting a full reimagining. It’s set to open in late 2026, and we’re so excited to see the new show.

At Islands of Adventure, Thunder Falls Terrace, the Jurassic Park-themed restaurant, closed in July and will be converted into a new dining experience in 2027. Jurassic Park River Adventure has been closed since January and is scheduled to reopen in November after a major refurbishment.

Even the whole Lost Continent area is getting some love! It’s going through phased permanent closures. Universal hasn’t announced what is coming, but since it’s an entire land, we’re expecting something amazing.
