Okay friends, it’s time to talk about the attraction that has been living rent-free in our heads ever since Disney dropped the announcement back in November 2024 — and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is speeding into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in summer 2026, and we are barely holding it together over here. Disney just revealed the first song announced for this new ride (and we got to hear it!), but the full track list is dropping on April 16th. Ahead of the release, though, Disney dropped a new teaser image — and we can’t help but feel like there are a TON of clues hiding in it!
Disney just dropped that the FIRST song for the new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets retheme has been revealed to be “Song 2” by Blur! We think this is a GREAT choice for the new version of the ride, but it begs the question: Which other songs will we get to hear on this ride?! Disney shared a new teaser image with the announcement, and we can’t help but feel like there are some obvious hints in it. Let’s put our tinfoil hats on and theorize, shall we?!
First, we can’t deny the presence of the large Kermit head in the middle. While Kermit isn’t a member of the Electric Mayhem, fans (it’s us, we’re the fans) have been BEGGING for a version of “Rainbow Connection” on this ride, and we can’t help but feel like that might be what this is hinting at.
There’s also a prominent guitar pick with “LK” on it… could this point to iconic guitarist Lenny Kravitz?? We could easily see his songs “American Woman” or “Are You Gonna Go My Way” as picks for the ride.
Leopard print was pretty big in the rock world back in the 1980s, so this could just be a stylistic choice… but it could also point to Def Leppard as another potential artist! Considering the band has a popular song called “Animal,” we think they would fit into this ride perfectly!
Over in the corner, the phrase “Original Idol” appears with a crown above it. We’re a bit torn on this one, because it’s giving off a few different vibes. On the one hand, Kelly Clarkson was the original winner of American Idol and has some rock-heavy songs like “Since U Been Gone,” but it could also be a reference to Billy Idol of “Rebel Yell” fame. Either way, we’re hoping the crown is a reference to Miss Piggy — maybe she will make a cameo as part of this song!
Up at the top, there’s a sticker that looks like tree roots, which we think is a reference to Philadelphia-based hip hop group The Roots. Considering The Roots’ drummer Questlove has collaborated with The Muppets on multiple occasions, we’re pretty confident in this theory — but we’ll have to wait and see!
We also got a look at some of the new signage coming to the ride’s queue in the form of show posters, including this one of Dr. Teeth featuring his iconic gold tooth.
Zoot is featured as a shoe in this poster, which is an interesting choice if you ask us!
Sgt. Floyd Pepper’s guitar is on fire, which probably isn’t a very good sign — or he’s just hardcore shredding on his guitar, which is fine by us.
Lips will be playing horns 24/7…
…and of course, Animal will be on the drums!
