There’s a NEW nighttime spectacular at Universal Orlando!
It was announced recently that Epic Universe would be getting a new nighttime spectacular! Since the park opened in May 2025, it has offered a fountain show in the evenings, but now there will be fireworks, music, lights, and MORE. We’re here to check it out, so come along with us!
The new show premiered to the public on the evening of Tuesday, July 7th, and we were invited by Universal to come check it out. It’s called Universal Celestial Goodnight, and it shows nightly at park close.
Universal describes it by saying, “Universal Celestial Goodnight transforms Celestial Park into a breathtaking spectacle featuring nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures, over 350 larger-than-life fountains, seven million LED lights, and a high-energy musical score.” It highlights the adventures of the park’s five portals with theme music to match. It’s 9 minutes long, which we thought was a great length. Because it’s a short show, we would expect shorter crowds in the future. For opening night, there were a lot of people, but we wouldn’t be surprised if that changes in the future.
Since it’s a short show, the best way we can describe this is as a finale to your day. It’s not quite a full nighttime spectacular but a roundup after a fun day in the parks, and you can leave with a little extra magic.

There were way more fireworks than we were expecting! All the portals were represented, too.
The fireworks were sharp and almost crisp and SO big! When we talked to guests after the show, everyone seemed to really enjoy it and was happy they spent the time at the end of the day to watch it. If there’s a ride that you haven’t been able to get on till the end of the day, you might want to ride one of those more unique experiences, but we think staying for a 9-minute show is totally worth it.
During the fireworks, we saw the wait times at their lowest they had been all day, so if you were waiting for a certain ride, it could be a great time to ride. This show isn’t meant to be a massive spectacular, but instead just a small finale, and remember all of the great things you did today.
All of Celestial Park lit up, and it felt so immersive. While the best seats are probably around the lagoon to see the fountains, we’re excited to try out different angles since we felt everything wrapped around us. The fireworks were amazing, but knock the fountains — they were massive and incredible!
