During this call, we learned a lot about what Disney has planned for the future, including turbocharging growth in the experiences section of the company and increasing content spending. But in addition to those goals, we got more information about changes coming to Disney’s streaming services in the near future.
Yet another major construction project is about to begin at one of Disney World’s most popular hotels.

Beginning on August 10th, the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will begin a planned refurbishment.

The latest earnings call was held on Wednesday, August 5th, and it was CEO Josh D’Amaro’s third time leading the call. During the call, he highlighted four things the company is especially focusing on moving ahead, and it gives us an insight on what to expect for the future.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spaceship Earth will get a TV series… Yep, the ride is getting a TV show before it gets an update. Let’s talk about it.
One of the most controversial topics of our time could revolve around the use of artificial intelligence, or AI. AI has been accused of illegally using copyrighted materials, and even Disney and Universal filed a suit against Midjourney, a generative AI tool, over copyright infringement.

However, that hasn’t stopped Disney from using AI within its own business, and the company even doubled down on generative AI with a deal with OpenAI that would have allowed its tool, Sora, to generate short Disney-focused content. Although that deal fell apart when OpenAI shuttered Sora, Disney has not given up on AI and has committed to using it for other parts of its business, explaining that it’s nothing more than the company embracing emerging tech.
